Heartbreaking. I used to sell him (and his posse) Polo merch at Lynnhaven Mall back in the day (think 1992-1993). He was always extra nice to the employees and always dropped at least 10-15 bills each trip.

Probably the greatest defensive and untouchable fighter of my generation.

far as i'm concerned, only 2 of his 4 losses are legit

my man was making DLH look foolish, despite being on cocaine around those times.

defense is so underappreciated in boxing. its the truest essence of the sport, hit and don't get hit

3:03 mark:

Even well past his prime against a young Tito Trinidad, his reflexes and defensive instincts were amazing to watch

Hampton Roads traffic is reminiscent of traffic in the developing world.  Collisions happen constantly, and collisions with pedestrians happen with some frequency here.  It's certainly possible that the accident was caused by Whitaker.  Pedestrians walk out into the middle of heavily trafficked roads in front of green lights and in the middle of open stretches of fast moving vehicle traffic all of the time.

95% certain they pulled that man off the casino floor

I was the assistant wrestling coach at the time when he was a wrestling at Wake Forest-Rolesville in NC. He made the state tournament one or two years at maybe 189. I can't remember cause it was a good 11-12 years ago, but I wrestled him a bunch of times.

Really wanted to see Lipinets vs Molina Jr. Molina pulled out with back injury. There is a late minute sub for Molina. Ugas vs Figueroa is gonna be good. And so will Lee vs Plant. Good overall card top to bottom.

Lipinets by KO

Ugas by UD

Plant by KO

Thurman by KO

top rank card on espn+ took a bit of a dark turn. Maxim Dadashev in the co-main took a beating before Buddy McGirt correctly stopped the fight, despite his fighter saying he wanted to continue. He couldn't walk on his own out of the ring and lost consciousness on the way to the hospital

last update did not sound good at all. waiting to get in contact with his wife in russia so they can start surgery to relieve pressure on his brain
