taylorcoreskin
The offensive line deserves an A after losing Dockery and inserting Todd Wade?Oooookay. I wasn't one of Dockery's biggest fans. I think 3/5 of our olineman(samuels, jansen, thomas) are superstars and 2/5 are very good (wade, rabach). if that's not an A grade o-line I don't know what is. Dockery was an average OL and cashed in at the right time. He was our 5th best OL. I agree with your assessments except saying Wade is "very good." He is very good at OT but OG is a very different position. I really hope he can make the transition but I am very worried.
master4caster
I don't get the grade with the projected record. Seems that a team with those grades would rate 8-8 or 9-7. We all know it's too early for projections anyway. I agree with the "C" for the receivers. Santana Moss and Chris Cooley are the only reliable receivers. Until Lloyd and Randle El prove it on the field this year, the receivers will get no respect and Moss will be doubled.

turbodiesel#44
They are generous grades. I would give the DL a D. Still, 9-7 or 10-6 is possible in our division.
Cooley4President
yeah anywhere from 7-9 to 9-7 is a good estimate i think. sounds like they weren't too hard on us. I agree. But, with all of the parity in the league these days you could predict anywhere between 7-9 and 9-7 for most teams in the league and have a good shot at being correct. Tulane Skins Fan
They are generous grades. I would give the DL a D. Still, 9-7 or 10-6 is possible in our division. On a scale of 1-10, you'd give a D?

Veretax
the receiver grade is too low, the defensive lineman grade is too high and the ol grade is too low. I disagree with the first. Moss was injured a good part of last year, Lloyd disappeared most games last year, and Cooley is the only other pass catcher that I trust on the team. They gotta prove they can catch before they earn higher. I agree about the Dline and Oline though.
bulldog
90% of the league is between 7-9 and 9-7 so that is a safe record to tag on the Skins figuring that a young quarterback will still cost the team a game or two it might otherwise have won...............but if Campbell is ahead of projections based on 2006 then I think that record could be low.............. Morneblade
the receiver grade is too low, the defensive lineman grade is too high and the ol grade is too low. I agree. I'd also think JC will be better than a C+, but I understand why they gave him that grade. It's hard to justify giving a guy that started 7 games in his career anything higher, even if he showed alot in in first season.
Thinking Skins
10-6, 11-5, 12-4, 13-3 better possibilities why not just go for 16-0? Or even better 19-0? Sounds good to me!

Gigantor
I question the whole idea of applying high school report card "grades" to football teams. It just doesn't translate well. Besides, we don't even know what the final roster is, so I think the magazine is just trying to make some money. I give their prediction as much weight as I do Hillary's universal health care plan. CapitalDefense
7-9 is generous if you ask me Our defense will continue to struggle because we will not generate any pass rush unless we blitz, none of these guys can cover for 8 plus seconds ,thats when we got burned last year, every single time we blitzed. Greg Williams blitz packages have nobody fooled anymore..... I would love to eat crow if I am wrong..... unlike last year when I was blind to the defense and this year they are 1 year older, thats does not equal success.... Our biggest need was not addressed in the offseason, you can thank our FO or just bash me for telling you what you do not want to hear. Peregrine
The OLine grade is the glaring one... considering the line was top 5 in pass protection and run blocking its kind of hard to not give them an A...
BleedBNG
I think they've got the Receivers grade... C... correct. It will be our weakest point this year. I wouldn't even bother to give out any QB grade because you can never tell. I'm sure Ben Rothlisberger would have had somewhere close to a C+ before the 2005 season.
