Gallen5862
Sting is rumored to be possibly returning soon. Stings originally scheduled opponent is said to have been injured. Sting needs to appear soon to start a feud. If Sting won the US Title would that be the record for longest time between holding the title?

I'm not sure what anyone wants Sting to do.  I'm not sure Sting was even that popular when he was popular 18 years ago. Undertaker vs Lesnar at Summerslam has been booked.Taker gave a great promo.  What the hell is the point of this? Does anyone on the planet want to see this match?
pjfootballer
Just looking at Charlotte (Ashley Fleihr), she has such a boyish body. No ass and no hips.  I'm just going to call her Spongebobbi Squarepants. Â I'm not sure Sting was even that popular when he was popular 18 years ago. Â What the hell is the point of this? Does anyone on the planet want to see this match? Â Agree on both points. Look, I liked Sting way back in the day, but no one is dying to see him wrestle anymore. Sure, it was cool seeing him against HHH and really the only match would want to see Sting in is against Taker. Other than that, it's pointless. So Sting joins the Shield? That makes no sense to me. Â As for Lesnar and Taker, I don't see the point either. We've seen it already. If Taker wins, doesn't that lessen Brock? And if Brock wins, who cares? I'm guessing this will more than likely be a casket match. Only way this has some significance is if Taker loses and retires.

And the build has been ok because the build is always good when Brock just wants to punch someone in the face. Â (Seriously, isn't it always great when Wrester A just wants to punch Wrestler B in the face on general principle?) Â It just seems weird that UT went from "Once a year special attraction" to this without any real warning.

Especially when he was around back in March. At this point, wouldn't you just wait until WrestleMania to get the revenge in the place where you lost the first time? I mean, you waited a year and a half....what's another six months in the name of symmetry?

BRAVEONTHEWARPATH93
Last night confirmed that Kevin Owens is on his way to mid card obscurity with the Wyatts and Rusevs of the world Also reports are that ppl backstage are sabotaging his push **** wwe
Gallen5862
Owens new slogan should be "Run Owens Run." It seems like everytime he is on raw its all talk but no action. He says I want to challenge Cena then its not now. He gets in a tripple threat match for a championship match then he quits. He loses at Battle ground then he walks out like Sheamus does. He comes across as an arrogant coward.

Actually I do, and it sucks. I read that some were worried that Cena's merchandise numbers were falling after he lost to Owens. That's a joke. Eventually that cash cow is not going to be there.  I cared about watching Raw again for a little while because of Owens. Oh well, back to DVRing it and fast forwarding through 95 percent of it.
Gallen5862
The typical Heel would beat up people without running away. Lombardi's_kid_brother
I actually sort of agree with Gallen for once. Â Owens was brought in as the tough guy, wrestling machine heel. (Think Vader, Bruiser Brody, Terry Gordy, Stan Hansen). You can have him play the retreat to high ground card once or twice as a tactic. It can't become his thing. Â Rollins is a chicken **** heel. He can run away all the time if he wants. Â I have to think Vince is looking at his roster right now and just hates it from top to bottom and probably wants to go back to Cena as champ with Lesnar as the special attraction as soon as humanly possible. KDawg
Taker-Lesnar is easy to book. The plan is for Sting/Taker at Mania, right? Spotlight on Sting watching from the rafters. Taker is distracted long enough to take a F5. Then another. And another. And another. And another. 1-2-3. Sometime later (way later... Months), Taker appears on RAW and challenges Sting at Mania. Says they're both in the twilight of their careers and since Sting seemed so interested in Taker at SummerSlam, it's time the two of them finally lock up. Crow vs. Phenom. Boom. Done. Â So...who loses that match? Â If it's Sting, what you've just booked is "Sting loses to HHH...disappears.....loses to Taker...disappears." Â If it's Taker....we see old Taker lose at Mania for the second time in three years. Â And it's not like anyone has been clamoring for this match for decades. It's just that they are basically the last two dudes from the 90s still alive who have never wrestled. Frankly, this feels like a match that should take place in a casino in Mississippi with Jerry Lawler as guest referee.
Lombardi's_kid_brother
Yes.  This is true.  Flair in the 80s was a really interesting character in that it was basically understood that he was a great wrestler who preferred taking short cuts. The only people he really ever ran from is Dusty (which probably had more to do with Dusty's ego than the character Flair was playing) and Nikita (which had to with the fact that putting Nikita in the ring too much was not great for him).  The build to the Magnum match that never happened is really tremendous if you watch all the youtube clips. The story is really about Magnum learning how to beat Flair as early on Flair invites Magnum into the ring, cheapshots him early, and basically dominates him until just walking away. They have more confrontations where Magnum stops falling for Flair's tricks and you start to see Flair panic as this young guy - who is bigger, faster, and stronger - is starting to get smarter too.  With any of the faces who weren't Dusty, the story was always "Flair is better...but is lazy and arrogant and the babyface has more heart so that may equal matters."  I've been on a Harley Race kick lately. I always thought that Dusty devalued the title by having Flair get his ass kicked so much. And maybe he did since the title was on national tv every week at that point. But a typical Harley match is Harley bumping and stooging for 60 to 90 minutes until either the bell rings or he gets himself disqualified.  If you were a fan in the 70s, you had to think that Harley Race was the luckiest SOB on the planet.
