I was there in 2009 for the Chiefs game disaster when Campbell was benched and the crowd turned and chanted "fite vinny" at Dan's press box. The beginning of the resurgence...

That was worth that trainwreck of a game

ThT was also the game that pretty much signaled the end of Portis. He broke that monster run, and, with a personal escort via Mike Sellers, still managed to get run down from behind when all he had to do was cut towards the middle of the field.

He was bloated as hell that year. Ran like a fat kid chasing after the school bus. Pork chops flying out of his lunchbox and ****

Yeah that was rough. He was coming towards us in that endzone too. Couldn't believe he didn't score. Also I think

Sellers when 70 yards for only to miss a block in the end.

I do remember standing at the urinal when they announced on the halftime show that Campbell was being benched. A cheer exploded in the bathroom

Not much to complain about since the tickets were $15

We used to think of 2009 as the Lowest point in the teams history. Open revolt and ****. Never thought in a million years we'd be that bad ever again, but damn, '13 and '14 give it one hell of a run for its money.

And now we don't suck anymore. We're actually good.

Been one hell of a roller coaster ride these last 7 years

Well, back in Charlotte. Was a nice break to get away, but hard living with family for two weeks when you aren't used to them. Left NJ around 9 this morning. Landed back in Fort Mill about 7 tonight.

Just noticed I said "landed." I drove, so I didn't actually land. Took 10 hours.

More like 17 years.  Look at all the ups and downs we fans went through.  Norv years sucked, then 1999 happens, we lost in the divisional round, Brad J. as QB.  Next year, .500. then Dan let's BJ go to the Bucs after the 2000 season and fires Norv before the season ends.

And we endured the stellar QB play from Jeff George when BJ got hurt, then benched........

2001 - George goes 0-2 gets released.........Enter the Tony Banks era.......really?  Tony ****ing Banks.......(really Jeff George to start the season to begin with).

2002 - after firing Shotty, one of the best coaches in football, who happened to go 8-3 after a 0-5 start........enter Steve Dumbass Spurrier and his two **** Gator QBs + "Feed me to the ****ing crows" Ramsey.

2003 - Spurrier continues to ruin franchise.

2004 - Our beloved Joe Gibbs comes back, we all are on cloud nine.  Super Bowl thoughts, and why not?  Top of the world.

2005 - five in a row or we dont go!  And we do.  And get beat by the ****hawks in the divisional round.

2006 - down year.

2007 - 4 in a row or we don't go....and we do!  And get beat by the ****hawks in the wildcard game.  Not to mention the loss of the best Safety in all of football at the time.......

Then 2009 to current.  I can't think of one other franchise that's been through that many highs and lows at just about every aspect of the game (offense, defense, teams, coaching, starting QBs, players dying too young, drama with the players and media, etc.).  I mean, most other teams just suck for a few years or for a while (Browns, Raiders, etc.)

All that is what makes this year so special.  We finally got a real GM......no........one of the top 2 GMs in the league and probably the best at evaluating talent.  We are rebuilding right.  Owner is finally just writing checks and letting the gurus do the job.

We finally have some decent depth (not at all positions, but better than before).  Players are pulling together, playing for each other.  It finally feels like no matter what happens, or even next year if we do slip and go say 7-9 or 8-8 that we are here and we are building a team that is gonna **** with the rest of the league for years to come.

**** is like McDonald's..........I'M MOTHER ****ING LOVING IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good ball last night as Kansas won in triple overtime and Virginia Tech knocked off UVA. The thing about college ball is that you've always got a good game every day but Friday. Especially in conference play. Every day there's a good match on.

People have always said college basketball doesn't matter until March. Those people know not of the thrills of conference play and rivalry. College basketball is everything the NBA isn't. Fun, intense, rivalry.

I think fans really did have an impact on the Fassel/Zorn thing and it served us right. Well, not me, I thought you Jags were being a bunch of babies, but Snyder was reeling and losing the fan base and money. Things were dark. Absolute darkest time in the Redskins history.

However, the jackwagon full of fans got exactly what the deserved. A good QB coach, who didn't even know the teams colors, despite having a long career in the league.

I've been one of the most optimistic fans this year (despite swearing to quick this ****ing team twice, early in the year), but even I understand that we're still putting together a team here. It's incredible what we've done, but you've got to admit that the other 3 clowns in this division helped us get to where we are.

And then you have everyone wanting to play the Pack, because it's the only team everyone isn't afraid of (this fan base, my god, come the **** on). It would serve us right to lose to them. Then everyone will talk about how bad we suck again and call for everyone to be fired and replace all our starters.

With all the fire JG bull**** this season, I'm still not even sure who is available as a HC for other teams.

I was there too. It was rough. Especially when you consider some of the other games that year. I was there for the St. Louis game that didn't have a single TD too. But yeah, that Chiefs game was brutal. The CP run sticks out to me too because I remember how shocked and angry I was when he got run down. Then the almost riot after the game was crazy. Normally, folks are filing out into the lot in droves. Seemed like everyone made a Bee line to the CSN broadcast tent where they used to do the postgame and went NUTS. Chanting Fire Everyone! and Sell the team!

Yeah the Norv years were interesting, but its something to completely bottom out to the point of despair, rise up and win the division, bottom out to the point of despair, and then rise up again and win the division. These last 6-7 years in particular have given me whiplash

The one that sticks out to me most I think besides '99 was '98. At least I think it was '98. The year that we started out 7-1 and then took a complete nosedive. That team looked unstoppable for a while. I was only a kid at the time. 11 if it was in '98. And I remember going back and forth on where I would watch the games between going out to play backyard ball with my buddies. Seemed like every week was a celebration. And then we went to Buffalo and got mollywhopped. Thurman Thomas and Andre Reed knocked the life out of us and the rest of the season was a disaster. This is all off memory, so please correct me if I'm wrong here.

After having the night and morning to calm down I realize Allen didn't foul Perrantes on that last shot. But man was I heated last night. The salt was REAL for me and a lot of Hoos fans. But what can you do? For some reason this Wahoos team takes a nap in the first half and forces themselves to play catchup all the time. I hate that. Hope TB can get that worked out before we have to go to Cameron or UNC comes to town. Should be better next year on though. Our recruiting class for next year is almost criminal.

I don't know what kind of sneaker I bought, but they were on sale (of course if I bought them, after the soles completely fell off my old ones) and both girls came out and said "buy these, look" and they're on their feet.

They look like low versions of that ugly shoe, but they feel like slippers. I love them.
