Mr. Sinister
BTW, I've been meaning to mention that I got mad respect for your sig. I was around 13-14 (1992) playing some football with the neighborhood kids when one of their older brothers came by and was blasting Rage on a boombox (remember those?). Before the end of the week a bunch of us had gotten casette copies of that first Rage album. I think I've seen them in concert probably about ten times. Ah, good times. Yeah, they're awesome. Perfect blend of metal, funk, and hip hop. De La Rocha (who i view as a rapper) going hard with the lyrics, Commerford killing the bass, and Tom Morello doing things to a guitar that are just unnatural. Iconic, timeless sound. I don't think I've ever been so creeped out, just on ambiance alone. That movie was the anti murder porn. And thats what I like. I thought After had a chance to be that too, but i didn't like the last 25-30 minutes. The art of building up the fear and suspense, man. There's nothing like it. Thats why Horror is my favorite genre. Nothing else can take hold of your senses like a good horror flick.
Gamebreaker
I can think of just 3 horror movies I was at least satisfied by, and none of them made it to theatres (Mama, Grave Encounters, Europa Report). Oculus was another one that I thought was solid. Thats really it, for me at least I definitely agree with your take on Hollywood and horror movies. I do disagree about the Conjuring, yes it was unoriginal but I think the execution was done well. I liked Mama, found Europa Report boring. I heard It Follows was good but haven't seen it yet. It's sad that I'd rather watch John Carpenter's The Thing, than watch any new horror movie that is going to come out this year.
Mr. Sinister
I think the execution was done well. So do I. If I wasn't such a fan of horror, I probably would've loved it. But virtually every scene, I saw the pitch coming a mile away. Plus I'm really familar with the work done by the real Ed and Lorraine Warren, so I wasn't all that interested in their backstory hinted at occasionally in the movie. dfitzo53
Dear fitted sheets, I hate you. I hate that there is no good way to fold you, and I hate that in the dryer you contort yourself into some kind of twisted sheet abomination that swallows other things and keeps them from getting dry. I hate you. Love, David

RATM is a top 5 band for me. You nailed it. Gotta give mah boy Brad Wilk on the drums MAD props. My man would lay them beats down with authority. We call his kind "arm drummers", where it's like a heavy bag workout all the time. He'd beat the **** out of those cymbals, man. His snare had it bad as well. He got me back in to drumming after a period of time where I was away from it. Learned a bunch of Rage songs and got my groove back. It's not extremely difficult stuff, and it's fun to play. Will get ya in shape fast if you try to play it like Wilk does. Gym pump level.

Mr. Sinister
Tom Morello though. Man. The way he could make it sound like he's cutting on a ****in' turntable. And Commerfords bass homicide on Bullet in The Head, Fistful of Steel, and Take The Power Back.

And Commerfords bass homicide on Bullet in The Head, Fistful of Steel, and Take The Power Back. The thing about Rage is that I enjoy about 95% of their songs. Can't say that for any other band. Practically every song is a jam, and some of them have some seriously weird sounds coming out of Morello's guitar. Like "Maria" for instance, all it is during the verses is a loud, high pitched, screeching type of sound. Commerford's bass playing provides the melody. That screeching noise would turn me away 99.9% of the time, but it's Tom Morello, so it somehow works.

Dont Taze Me Bro
RATM is one of my favorites. Seeing them live at Lollapalooza in 1993 was amazing. That was my first concert ever and they opened the festival. Got to see Dinosaur Jr. (ok, not my fav), Tool, Arrested Development, Alice N Chains, Fishbone, Front 242 and a bunch of side stage bands I can't remember the name of. Only band I missed that night was Primus, they closed and because my friend had cancelled going with me (some family emergency) he gave his ticket to my wife, who was only 16. My MIL made me have her back by 11:00 pm, so we had to leave right before they played to drive from Charlotte back home. I did get to see Primus a few years later at the Horde Festival that I won tickets to. Rage though, man, just a surreal experience for me, same with Alice N Chains. Morello kind of gives it that weird 1950's UFO sound. I also like the monster opening to The Ghost of Tom Joad. Sounds like a swarm of Blackhawks
Gibbs Hog Heaven
Again, GHH,...the squeaky shoe game has one Birdman...I think his name is Chris Anderson? The other Birdman is a rapper here in ATL, and Lil' Wayne is another rapper who is "sought" by (what seems to be) all other rappers. Got it now? So what was Larry Bird known as? Even I heard of him in the '80's. He was pretty good right? Hail.

The clips that attached to the sheets kept coming off. Maybe that design will work better because the other ones were just elastic bands in between 2 clips. I'll give those a shot. Thanks! PS: I'm also a friend of the Rage.

I'll think of a flying saucer in black & white every time I listen to "Maria" now. That's one of my favorite songs by them. So intense to play, the final minute or so feels like you're jamming in a thunderstorm.

She looks stunning, but some spy/assassin vibe is going on too. Looks like she's slit dozens of throats in her lifetime. Wasn't there something about her being involved in a murder investigation? I wouldn't be surprised. If they put a female cyborg in Terminator: Nyntendo, she'd be a good choice.
