Strange to use at first, but you get used to it and it's fine. Then use the scissors that come in a grooming kit for men. I wouldn't use it in your nose based on the smell alone. I tried it on my scalp once...awful smell (that was 20 years ago though). I thought I could shortcut the blade after using the clippers. Yeah, Nope.
