  1. Past hour
  2. If anything, the fact that people are going out of their way to rename public institutions after confederates proves it wasn't overboard and something that needs a reckoning.
  3. I tend to think he was the pick because of ceiling and versatility (more outs). I don't think it was that simple.
  4. I won't post the uncensored photo, but it's everything you'd think it is.
  5. Fat AH had a relentless motor before he came to us and got overpaid. He was awesome. Same with Wilkerson.
  6. “I ask that when you cast your vote, you remember that Stonewall Jackson and others fighting on the side of the Confederacy in this area were intent on protecting the land, the buildings and the lives of those under attack,” said a woman urging the board to restore the Confederate names. “Preservation is the focus of those wishing to restore the names.” Obviously this woman is a blinder-wearing freak. The Confederacy rightly ended in 1865. Yes, Stonewall Jackson was "intent on protecting the land, the buildings, and the lives of those under attack"...protecting rich slave-owners and their 'property' from the federal government of their own country. People forget to mention that it was a violation of the Constitution for a state to secede from the USA...not that it will prevent it happening again if this woman's ignorance is more widely-held than we believed.
  7. There’s a part of me that wishes we’d just signed Allegretti to a 1 year deal, essentially leaving an opening for Stromberg (or possibly Coleman) to take over at some point this year or next, but 1) it’s quite possible that security is a big part of why he signed here, and 2) if he loses the starting job next year, he’d be a fairly highly paid backup (not egregiously so though), and then carries a dead cap of 2m in ‘26. Maybe it’ll turn out that I’m under-appreciating our DEs, but I wish we had a high quality edge rusher that could really challenge our tackles. Of course our DTs (and blitzing from our backers, etc) should be good preparation for our IOL. I know Howell had his own issues, but the number of times he faced pressure from multiple areas was highly problematic. If I had to guess the floor of this unit compared with last year - moderate step down from Leno to Lucas, small step up from Charles to Allegretti, moderate step up from Gates/Larsen to Biadasz. And then I’d grant them 1) a small step up for (what I presume will be) a more balanced offense, and 2) a small step up from Howell’s slower post-snap reads and EB’s (seeming) lack of catering to personnel to the Daniels/Kingsbury combo. Here’s hoping we exceed that floor though.
  8. 😝 thanks for making me spit up my coffee I was drinking when I read this…. How true though …lol
  9. Love that Jayden got his #5 but I'm getting me a mccaffrey jersey. I really believe in this kid
  10. Rating players that could make the team or position better rather than from a big board of rating best available at that position. Could be why we took Coleman over Bebe? Can Coleman if he hits at LT make the team better? Bebe may be BPA but does he make the team better at G only? Do the 3 players they tock in the 2nd. rd. make the team better at CB,DT and TE and the team better versus the OT's that were available? That is what they are betting on and the way they do things in S.F. along with having a consensus pick by the group.
  11. I was going to go camping out of the city to go watch but the weather forecast is garbage. Doubt there is anywhere around here that will see it.
  12. Yep I've talked about him on another thread on the same topic, good pedigree for a backup
  13. UNREP at night. Nope, ain't happening. Enjoy that one, deck division.
  14. There are several teams that already have all their rookies signed this year.
  15. That's when they SHOULD do it...and they should have Tony Dorsett run up to the mike and grab Green's retirement plaque and start sprinting down the field, forcing Green to run him down from behind again. If Jason Wright is in charge of this ceremony, I would imagine he would do it during the home game against the Panthers, however. 🙄
  16. Today
  17. The people on the school board and those who worked tirelessly to get them elected are so soft. Participation trophy generation in effect.
  18. Which should have led him to do it!!! And he didn't!!! Coulda made a ton of money and saved lives at the same time, but his idiocy/syphilis/herpes, whatever...etc, etc. kept him from it!
  19. That's the norm. Most rookies aren't signed until a few weeks before training camp.
  20. I don't doubt it one bit. Second is deck division, trying to get the ship out and move it back in with the lines and braided steel cords. Getting it anchored. Proper tension is absolutely vital. I've heard stories of people getting snapped in half when one breaks.
  21. I get it , it is only a #… but to a degree it goes a lot deeper, the expectation that a seasoned NFL (regardless of his position) is expected to just give up his # after having it for such a long time… hmm kinda like a employee having 10+ years at his employment and this new young supposedly can’t miss employee comes in and wants his office, or title or whatever it may be as to your employment… would you just simply “Give it Up”
