Warhead36
https://twitter.com/Eagles/status/722843520655040516 Hell of a haul for the Browns. They only move down four slots and get a 3rd and 4th this year, a 1st next year, and 2nd in 2018. Not sure WTF they're doing in Philadelphia.... TheMalcolmConnection
We just better hope that both of these QBs bust. Wentz has a higher bust potential IMO. I worry if they get Goff he'll be pretty damn good for them.
zCommander
It is also possible that they are NOT going for a QB and for another position instead. Which position though, if that is what they are doing?
oraphus
What would be even crazier is if they went after a RB.
Warhead36
I don't think you make a trade like that unless its for a QB. QBs tend to make GMs go full r'tard.

kost203
The Eagles had to jump that high to move ahead of Jerry. Rumor is Jerry loved wintz. Or could have been a smoke screen for a qb needy team like the chickens to force there hand and spend allot of picks !!!
Veretax
Is it to early to laugh at Philly for how much they gave up for the Number 2 pick? I mean who do they think they are... The REdskins? Is there even a heisman winner to take at #2?

Taco Bell
They must like either QB nearly as much as the other if they are willing to take the scraps from the rams. Unless they like another guy like Lynch more and just want the guy for sure, which is doubtful and overkill but who knows. I do think they are following the now famous "redskins plan" of saturating their QB situation and hoping one sticks or rises up with more competition. They will have #2 overall, Bradford, and Chase Daniel, they will have a solid 2nd and 3rd string QB however it shakes out. Not sure about starter though lol... It is going to be annoying to have to deal with an anointed QB on a division rival for the next year or two, I hope he busts. And I hope their lost draft picks cripple their already crippled team. While they're at it, give Cox 60 mil guaranteed right in their rebuilding window.
DogofWar1
I don't think there is anyone worth that haul, QB or otherwise. You had better have a ton of faith in Wentz or Goff because history suggests one will fail magnificently, and you don't get to choose which guy you get because you're #2. I guess NFL GMs have short memories, because it was only 4 short years ago we played this game and got burned and everyone said such blockbuster deals were dead once RGIII started struggling. Or maybe they think because we're 2-and-2 in terms of winning the NFCE since RGIII that it actually work. Or maybe they just think they know better than the Redskins. Probably that last one. I do think that while we sort of did it by accident, teams are now going to be more obvious/shameless in their pursuit of finding QB talent. Like, paying a vet 20 mil on a prove it deal while drafting premium pick QB anyway being normal type thing. Because, when you think about it, if you're actually playing for championships, which the eagles do (hilariously), you should be going all out finding a QB as often as necessary because who cares about "team chemistry" when your QB sucks. Overstuff the roster with QBs, and let 1-2 QBs be pissed instead of 52 guys because the #1 QB is a pile of trash. This is a flaw in the NFL obviously but more offense rules all. I don't see any reports saying they are definitely picking a QB. It is assumed that they are for going up that high. We are talking about the Iggles here you know. bobandweave
The question I have is did they jump to 2 to get in front of the Chargers? Rivers is only 34 years old right? Doesn't make much sense to me. Did they get screwed or was it the Cowboys who have romoSUCKS and seems more likely to take a QB high next week? Because the Jaguars and the Ravens wouldn't have taken a QB and that leaves only the 49ers who might have. Who are they worried about in front of them to give up 4 picks, over three drafts to get in front of? If its the Chargers that didn't work out for Rivers-Brees and it's premature to do that to Rivers-? If if was the Cowboys If it was the Ravens or Jaguars what the hell are those teams thinking? And if it was the 49ers then to the Eagles Trading up to 3, 4, 5,or 6 would have cost you less then that. If I was the Eagles owner I would fire the GM or whoever is responsible for deciding to spend millions on Chase Daniels, the number 2 pick, and Sam Bradford this off season. Not one team in the NFL ever did that to an owner before and they are on the record saying Bradford won't be traded after they did this. It doesn't make any sense to do this for any of the other positional players this year, there is no generational talent in this draft and it's a deep draft so throwing those 3rds and 4ths away this year is stupid. They gave up way too much and have too much money blown on this position without even playing a single snap to see what they bought. I think someone is trying to get fired over there or it's april fools day or they are celebrating 4/20 day in Philly on 4/20. Great news for us whatever the reason hahah
CBass1724
I keep getting slammed in the Stadium thread about the draft day trades. I'm of the opinion that the lopsided trades of giving up a bunch of picks/players for a single pick/player is always a bad idea. It just about never works out. The Eagles are not one player away from winning it all; especially from this draft class. They gave up wayyyyy too many assets to move up to #2. Hooper
Absolutely hilarious. They're going to take Wentz number two overall and then what? Have him inactive on gameday? Or are they going to pay Chase Daniels 7 mil a year to be the number three? They'd be smart to eat the 11 million dollar signing bonus they gave Bradford and try to trade him to Denver or something, but I'm sure Howie's ego is way too big for that. So instead you're going to have a rookie QB not getting nearly enough real reps or practice reps. Seriously, I thought Chip Kelly was supposed to be the nutty one when it get came to personnel. This moves make Lurie and Howie look like Snyder and Vinny. And what if the Rams take Wentz?

They had an open locker beside Daniel since lockers were assigned so it was a plan all along to get a rookie QB this year. Apparently they fell in love with Wentz. Plan is Bradford to start and they will slowly develop Wentz until he is ready

Yeah lol but as a GM you can't burn bridges like that. It gives you a bad rep. There is gamesmanship and then there is straight up lying and screwing a team into trading 5 draft picks. Don't see it happening. If the Rams told them something, it's legit
