skinsmarydu
It's gonna rip straight through here. They're predicting 3-5 inches of rain, said it's a fast mover.
TheGreatBuzz
Good news is my wife is up here visiting. Bad news is my house on the gulf coast can't be moved as easy.
Malapropismic Depository
Governor Rick Scot stated "Hurricane Michael is forecast to be the most destructive storm to hit the Florida Panhandle in decades" Really ? Doesn't sound like it could be worse than Hurricane Ivan, just over a decade ago, in 2004...which, among many other things, did the below to an Interstate 10 bridge... Â What do you think @TheGreatBuzz ? Were you there for Ivan ? Â Â Â
TheGreatBuzz
I was not there for Ivan. He is probably talking it up so hopefully people will actually evacuate.

Sticksboi05
This could be a Category 4 storm by the time it hits Florida. People need to leave.

steve09ru
up to 150 mph and 923 mb (was at 943 mb at 5am) - could touch category 5. It'll be interesting once it hits land as they said it was supposed to be weakening before landfall but that ain't happening. Larry
Roommate is driving from Gainesville FL to north of Atlanta right now. So she's gonna be kinda paralleling the storm, dealing with storm and storm traffic.
Sticksboi05
Unreal how the Gulf of Mexico is basically a sitting zone for massive hurricanes. Water is so warm it's inevitable. Two days ago we were talking about Category 2 and now it's approaching 5 as it nears land. Incredible and scary. We've gone from just another hurricane to what will be one of the most destructive in U.S. history.

This will only become worse with climate change, I’d imagine.
Sticksboi05
Landfall at 155 MPH - for all intents and purposes a Category 5 (2 MPH short). Fourth strongest hurricane to ever make landfall in the U.S. based on wind speed. As intense as Hurricane Andrew by pressure as well. The people down south will need our help via donations over the coming days and weeks.
