Self-explanatory poll here. I realize it may be a bit pre-mature wiith camp in Richmond a couple months away but I just couldn't help myself. It's a great topic and it seems to pique everyone's interest every single year.

Since I don't really see us adding any additional players of significance until training camp I figured it would be a safe bet to start the debate now.

Please remember that you can't select every single player on the poll. That defeats the purpose. And please, by all means, list your selections if you wish to make a comment.

I've got: Garcon, Jackson, Roberts, Robinson, Hankerson, Grant - Morris, Helu, Seastrunk

WR: Garcon, Jackson, Roberts [LOCKS]

Grant - Drafted, so I say he makes it

Hoffman - Got size, and plays special teams

Kofi Hughes - Don't know much about him yet but, he got size/speed production and plays ST

Aldrick Robinson - Cut I dont think he plays ST.

Hankerson - Maybe PUP.

RB: Morris Helu Seastrunk Thompson

I know I am gonna get crushed here but I really see Santana making the squad...

He might indeed. Right now, though, I have him as the odd man out mainly due to not wanting to give up on the younger WRs in order to give Moss a 1-year spot on the roster. Because let's face it...Moss won't be here in 2015 unless he shows himself to be the London Fletcher of WRs lol...

Me too. I'd be really surprised if he didn't. People either underestimate Moss, or overestimate his competition.

Considering how many passes we've seen Moss catch in a 'skins uniform, you'd think people would have a higher opinion of him.

I have a sneaky suspicion that Hoffman makes the squad. He is the only WR over 6'3" and he returns kicks/plays STs. I believe he wins out over Moss's leadership and Hankerson's unrealized potential as a big receiver.

WR: Garcon, DJax, Roberts, Robinson (I see him finally developing into more than just a speed WR this year), Grant (solid all-around player who will prove just too tough to cut), Hoffman.

RB: Morris, Seastrunk, Helu (possibly Thompson instead if he shows well in camp and stays healthy), and FB  Young (I still think there is a place for a good ole fashioned FB in this offense due to his tough run-blocking, plus he can be a serviceable between-tackles runner and he does catch the ball well)

Hankerson used to have upside but he is always injured. There is no upside to that. Either you produce or you don't. He hasn't so he won't make it. Suspect hands are involved as well.

Aldrick Robinson is interesting. Although he doesn't play special teams he is about as fast as Jackson and Santana has been training him for the slot position. Will be a challenge for defenses with Jackson and Robinson both on the field with Garcon. Lots of speed there. Lots of defensive backs in to cover...and Alfred Morris not seeing 8 in the box..

I'm from dc but I went to southern university and there is a wr that we got that no one is talking about lee doss, watch out he could be a sleeper good hands and great route runner, top 3 wr in swac.

WR

I think 6 make it, and I'm not sure what's the health status of Hankerson. I don't feel he's cut, but he may be on the PUP list and therefore not technically on the 53. Jackson, Garçon, and Roberts should be locks (barring injury). Grant seems likely to make it as a 5th rounder who will play on ST. I think Hankerson makes it if healthy. Which leaves one spot. Preferably for a younger guy that can also pitch in on ST. Robinson could go here. I suppose Williams. But Hoffman would be the more "developmental" guy that also gives the team some height. I have a hard time seeing Moss, just because I'm not sure its worth if if he's the 5th or 6th receiver. If Hankerson is on the PUP, that opens one more spot and may be a place where Moss slides in as the 4th receiver.

RB

My guess is only 3 make it, although it could be 4. Morris should be a lock. Helu is the only real viable back-up to him (unless you like Royster over Helu). Thompson would be the perfect 3rd back. His strengths are exactly what the team wants and what the team tried to get in Sproles (pass catching, returns, speed). Except Thompson sucked last year and has major durability issues. The hope is that he wasn't 100% being so close to his ACL surgery and that he performs much better in year 2. If so, that make Seastrunk interesting. He's no lock either, but I'd think they'd like to keep him if possible. He'd really have to stink it up in camp not to. Keeping 4 RBs may push Young off the roster if the team doesn't want a FB.

Except he is a body catcher, and doesn't run good routes. That, along with with his height, lack of ST ability make him a liability when he is not simply running a 9 route..

I think Grant pushes him out at 5-6

Why can't Darrell Young be the 4th RB?  Can play teams and as a RB, he's 36 for 153 & 4TDs

I don't see why he can't still be a FB honestly. People keep saying that a FB has no place in Gruden's offense, but according to those same people, he's very flexible, and I have yet to hear anything that suggests to me that he may be making a transition to RB, or that he may be a casualty.

Interesting to note that pretty much everyone who has voted has determined Seastrunk to be a lock.

I could add DY to the list but I just figured he'd make the team under the category of FB as a given. Dude is a stud and I don't think anyone doubts he'll make the team.

I believe some do doubt... but I agree with you otherwise.

Random, but how interesting would it be to motion Thompson out as a receiver (to go with Garçon, Jackson and Reed in a spread look) and Young back to tailback? Run, pass, R/O - I'd think that would give defenses fits.

You misunderstand -- he has the rushing ability to justify the #4 spot, thus freeing you up to go elsewhere....

I just dont see Moss making it. And that AR15 isnt anywhere near Garcons play style.

I honestly see (If Hankerson comes back 100%) being a real force due to Jay being a teacher and an Offensive mind guy.

Hoffman is a bigger and Slower 6,ft 4in and 4.62 40. Hankerson. 6 ft 2in 4.42 40

WR I think the only surprise will be that Moss isn't kept. Or if he is kept that LH is on the PUP and then a mid season decision is made between Robinson, LH, and Moss. If Robinson continues to do nothing here he will be the one cut. If Moss looks slow and too old to make plays outside of a catch with no after the catch yards he's gone. My list for final roster today is

88 Pierre Garcon
14 Ryan Grant
85 Leonard Hankerson
11 Desean Jackson
12 Andre Roberts
15 Aldrick Robinson

They keep 6. The UFA are fun to root for but generally not kept around for long. Don't see that changing for a first time head coach.

As for RB I picked four guys but as soon as I hit submit I wanted to change my vote. I do think 4 guys are going to stick around, problem though is I think one of them will be a FB - Darrel Young. I went with

29 Roy Helu Jr
46 Alfred Morris
26W Evan Royster
35W Lache Seastrunk

But honestly don't see Royster making the roster again. Put Young there were ER is and that's your line up. I think CW could land on IR or if he's eligible on the Practice Squad.

Why are people saying that? Bengals used a FB last year (Orson Charles a converted TE) and one of the toughest cuts to make the 53 was between John Connors and OC.
