two guys on one shouldn't mean someone wide open,  because in the front the offense has five OL and the QB vs only four DL.  That means seven defenders, five receivers

Yes. Also it came out in a recent article that the scouts and coaches had a consensus 3rd round grade on Haskins. That also isn’t new. I’d presume O’Connell was part of that take. 
 

Bur yeah your point was basically the narrative of some beat guys at the time and that story was doubled down on in a big way on todays pregame show on 106.7

That's the only time when Turner believes that is appropriate to go pass progressive in 70% of the plays.  

We live in a 50%pass / 50% run game plan universe until we can no longer play 50/50 ball.
