I feel incredibly lucky living where I do— I’ve often cut out of working at home early on fridays to grab a train to wrigley and buy a ticket while on the train. I can be from door to my seat in 30 minutes. But seeing the os there is extra special. I bought the tickets in February when it was expected to be two 60-win clubs facing off on a weeknight.

im so pumped about this team right now.

If I'm lucky I can get to Dodger Stadium on a whim in 30 minutes...IF I decide to go at least 2 hours before game time. One of the *few* benefits of living in Hollywood.

I'd rather be in Chicago lol.

Proud of these boys.  Moving the fences back really seems to have helped, 3.33 ERA at home.  Only 33 HRs allowed. Last year, they finished with an ERA of 6.00 and 155 allowed.  Even the road ERA is over a run lower.

Now, there's still half the season left, but still.

The bullpen is so much better (so far) in 2022 and part of that could be because guys like Lyles, Watkins and Wells aren't getting knocked out in the 3rd inning. Kremer may have figured out how to pitch at this level.

The defense has been better. The outfield when it's Hays/Mullins/Santander can ****ing go get it out there. Even Mullins' throwing looks better to the eye. Mountcastle is no longer a liability at first now that he's actually played there for a full season. Mateo and Rutchman are plus defenders.

It sounds like one of those fantasy ideas - like, "if we can just win 10 in a row, we're right in the race!" And it never happens.

I don't know if this streak should detract from the grand plan, but its nice to have options between now and early August when the trade deadline comes.

Man, Adley is struggling big time at the plate to start his career. Hopefully he can get on a little hot streak again and finish the year at .240 batting at least.

His OPS in the past month is like .850. He definitely took his lumps in the first 60-80 ABs, but I have zero concerns about his hitting moving forward. Plus he’s already showed outstanding defense behind the plate and rapport with the staff.

I don’t know how that OPS is possible since he is batting .152 since June 28 but he did have a hot mid June streak. Hoping to see that again. His framing has been by far his most impressive trait so far in the big leagues. The bat has to get more consistent at some point 🙏🏻

But he was .804 OPS over the 10 game winning streak. He has really excellent command of the strike zone and even if he doesn’t hit 300, he’s always going to draw walks and be a factor out there.

Adley was up with the bases loaded twice last night and failed both times - pop up and strike out.  Gotta be clutch in this league if you wanna be a star.  He has lots of time left to get better but earlier the better.  He is already 24 I don't want to see him waste his prime years of 25-29.

Amazing. HR and go ahead sac fly, then gunned that runner out at third. That's clutch!

He has that “it” factor.

And tomorrow we get to add another piece to the puzzle (plus more with the signing pool they have). Brooks Lee, Termarr Johnson, Drew Jones, Jackson Holliday?

Guess we’ll see!

Sounds like Brooks Lee is going to be the guy, if you believe sportsbooks (although after the NBA draft wild swings in the odds, who knows).

That would give them a lot of promising INF prospects. Possible trade chips in the future?

Orioles select Jackson Holliday. HS Shortstop, 5 tool prospect and son of Matt Holliday.

It’s a deep draft so we’ll see whose up next. Let’s Go Os!

I'm always skeptical of using a high pick on an 18-year old high school kid (in any sport) but O's brass and scouts know way more about baseball than I do, so I'm excited about the selection.  Rebuilds are painful to go through, but this is a fun time to be an Orioles fan, and it's been awhile since I've said that.

I think being the son of a high caliber player is a huge plus and be projects to stay at SS. The support system is so significant. A Premium player at a premium position. So if it works for Elias it works for me.

Yeah, bloodline is huge.

Already has as good an idea as to what will be required of him moving forward than anyone else in the draft. Its much easier to bank on someone in that situation.

Apparently they really wanted Fabian last year at 41 when the Red Sox took him and he didn't sign. He's a JR so I imagine this was an over slot pick.

I guess they will draft a lot of pitchers from here on out? Kind of surprised they didn't see someone worth taking just yet.
