Captain Wiggles
Definitely a great decade for music. Easily my second favorite after the 1970s. !990s had a great variety. I'm super biased tho having been a teenager from 93 to 99. My favorite band is still Phish. They still put on a fantastic show. Saw them last month at Hampton Coliseum. Their best years were by far in the 90s tho. 1997 in particular. Enjoy. Fast forward to the 5 min mark for the best jams the 1990s had to offer. Kilmer17
The 90s was meh. Better than the 00s I suppose though
TradeTheBeal!
Early 90s were fantastic. Things went downhill pretty quick after 95. Here’s a righteous jam from 91.

Going Commando
Sometimes I feel like I never left the 90's. One of the GOAT music decades. Peak time of the music video IMO. Let this thread now be the official 90's music shrine.
Chew
Back when rap was still angry. Baggy jeans, little plastic baggies of crack cocaine, and 9 MMs. Dave made me realize I was lightskinned with this song, it moved me so much. Damn

If in the future we all have these VR interfaces that let us walk around with theme songs, I want mine to be Shook Ones Pt II.
Going Commando
How about this dirty ass song to kick off the decade? When I was in the third grade, my aunt went to a music store to get me a Christmas present. She asked the guy who worked there, "what do kids listen to these days?" not specifying that the kid in question was an 8 year old, not a teenager. The cassette tape he recommended and that she end up giving me? Alice in Chains Dirt. LOL thanks Aunt Jerry, I love you.
SoulSkin
Solid list here: Pitchfork : Top 100 albums of the 90s . Another great thing about the 90s is how many good, relatively unknown bands you could find playing out all over the place. I mean, I guess you still can, but there were a LOT of really good local/regional bands.
Springfield
PS I was just kidding about Pearl Jam. They’re really good. I love me some 90’s music.
PCS
I remember playing Doom on my pc back then and I used the stereo for my own soundtrack. Man in the Box was played regularly while playing that game. Also on that soundtrack,(and a couple of personal favorites from the early 90's. Way too overproduced and plastic sounding.

Let's say it was a lot of band names intentionally mispelled using the letters Z and K.
