1.  That wasn’t a problem with the white men who voted for Trump that may swing back.  I don’t think it’s a problem for any democrat, other than their preference in democrat is a young one.

 

2.  Can’t really say on this, but you’re probably right and he’ll have some egg on his face.  Of course, if you Want Trump and Biden in a war of “history”, I think that Biden’s probably looks a lot more noble.

 

3.  It’s 2019, gaffes don’t matter.  Anything Biden can do or say can only help him.

I could see Biden as a bridge quarterback while the youngn redshirts for the first 4. Plus, there are a **** load of baby boomers who feel comfortable with him and we’ll need their vote. He’s not who I prefer but he’s probably our most likely chance to win.

I think Biden wins the nom on name recognition, the Obama Years, and several of the progressives sharing vote while some of the other challengers don’t draw enough. 

 

Biden’s old but so is Trump. Biden won’t need a golf cart when meeting with world leaders tho. 

 

Biden was wrong on a lot of policy, like the war on drugs.  He can admit mistakes and resonate with people experiencing the pain of the opioid epidemic. Plus Trump is calling minorities rapists and killers and diminishing world leaders of color (because they run “****hole countries.”) 

 

Biden’s had a few creepy moments but Trump’s very existence is creepy.

I think you guys have higher expectations of Biden than the general public does. I think the Democratic party has finally moved more to the left, the progressives (like myself) are starting to take over. If Biden wins the primary, I'll vote for him. However, I want Sanders. I've had enough of corporate, centrist Democrats. Lets try something else.

I think any liberal who is anti-Trump will vote for him, cause what would be the other choice?  A no vote is basically a vote for Trump.  Plus he has a chance of capturing “undecideds”.

Right. I get that Biden doesn’t check all the boxes for the left-left dems. As a center-left dem, I’d rather have someone that frustrates me a bit here and there over someone who is murdering our government.

Beto’s senate campaign captured the national attention like no other state race i can remember.  He came the closest a dem has to winning texas in 40 years. Turnout in his race nearly doubled from the previous midterm. He smashed the all-time quarterly fundraising record, and did it without corporate PACs. He got people really excited, which is a big part of a wiining formula. 

 

He crushed in the demographics that Dems need to crush, and significantly outperformed Hillary in Dem strongholds. People just like the guy.

Beto is only a candidate because he can fundraise but his record in the House is that of someone who is Center-right. That aligns close to you politically but We had this 3rd way nonsense for nearly 30 years and it lead to Trump.

 

I dont like Booker but this is a good idea that I hope the Democratic platform takes on

i said this 4-5 months ago, and i don't think he's a likely primary winner, but you know one of the dems i like a fair amount so far is pete buddhajudge

 

i like the idea of him as a veep with the most darwin-approved person left among the current contestants

 

and can we just go ahead and close the gop like a restaurant with too many code violations to ever be allowed to open again?

 

even with all i still value in what i used to call conservatism or even republican, i now think we'd do much better domestically and internationally if our government and society was just operating within the "left to right" range as it already exists in the dems/indies...we can simply attach moderate never-trumper ex-gopers to the indies if they don't wish to be the new "conservative extreme" of the dem party :P
