As far as I understand it the only thing that would legally prevent him from running for office again is if he had been removed by the Senate after impeachment, which he wasn't.

 

There actually isn't even anything saying that if he's convicted of a felony he can't run again. It's just that most politicians who are convicted of felonies either 1) resign and don't run again themselves or 2) are ostracized and booted by their own party and not allowed to run. We know that neither of those two would happen with Trump. 

 

The only other way to do so would be a Constitutional amendment.
