Moose & Squirrel v Boris & Natasha: what's the deal with the rooskies and trumpland?

I mean, Rudy's not wrong.

A judge or jury will interpret whether what Trump did is obstruction.

But the indicting part is up to Mueller.

Edit: Thinking about it, MORE IMPORTANTLY

Has anyone confirmed with Rudy that he has spoken with Trump recently?  Like one would think him saying "I haven't spoken with Trump in weeks" would be a bigger story when Rudy is literally out there SPEAKING FOR TRUMP.

Like why should anyone listen to Rudy about anything?

The last time Rudi made a pronouncement that Mueller told him something, what really happened is he put words in the mouth of someone on the Mueller team.

I don't think he has spoken with Mueller at all. By continuing these lies, he's throwing massive obfuscation and misdirection about any talks that might be happening about getting Trump to answer questions under oath.

Rudy Giuliani admits 'Spygate' is Trump PR tactic against Robert Mueller

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2018/may/27/rudy-giuliani-spygate-robert-mueller-donald-trump

Quote

Former New York City mayor Rudy Giulianisaid on Sunday that his repeated imputations of a supposed scandal at the heart of the Robert Mueller investigation – which Donald Trump calls “Spygate” – amounted to a tactic to sway public opinion and limit the risk of the president being impeached.

“Of course we have to do it to defend the president,” Trump’s lawyer told CNN State of the Union host Dana Bash, who accused him of being part of a campaign to undermine the Mueller investigation. Trump has repeatedly called the special counsel’s work a “witch hunt”, despite its producing five guilty pleas, including by three former Trump aides, and evidence of Russian tampering in US elections.

“It is for public opinion,” Giuliani said of his public campaign of dissimulation. “Because eventually the decision here is going to be impeach or not impeach. Members of Congress, Democrats and Republicans, are going to be informed a lot by their constituents. And so our jury – and it should be – is the American people.

“So Republicans largely, many independents, even some Democrats now question the legitimacy of [the Mueller investigation],” Giuliani said. “Democrats I would suggest for their own self-interest, this is not a good issue to go into the midterms.”

So Rudy basically just admitted that what they're doing is pure gaslighting in order to muddy the waters and introduce doubt into Mueller's investigation.

Yeah, but he didn't call it gaslighting.

And according to the Goldstone rule*, unless you actually say the word itself, it isn't the word even if the conduct directly matches the definition of the word.

The doofus admitted to it

But Obama did do something.  He kicked Russians out of the US.

He didn’t do more because he didn’t want to appear to be throwing the election for Hillary. You know, keeping the optics of legitimacy.

Also, remember that apparently when Obama tried to get Republican leaders to work with him on the whole thing so it wouldn't seem like he was going on a political fishing expedition to put his finger on the scale of the election they basically said "no", even though there was lots of evidence and it was presented to them by intelligence services.

So they were aware of what was going on, that a hostile foreign power was trying to infiltrate a presidential campaign in order to tip an election, but weren't interested. Either because it was "their guy", because they already knew about it and were providing cover in advance, or they simply were so stuck on saying "**** you" to Obama that they even did that when it came to a grave national security threat.
