The documents are very highly classified, Donny.

(As both you and the House Republicans well know. Thus allowing them, and you, to make claims about them, and be relatively sure that nobody will actually refute your claims with the truth.)

But there’s a fix for that. You could “declassify” them, like you did with the identity of Israel’s agent inside ISIS. (Although, granted, you “declassified” that information to Russia).

Why havent YOU released the unredacted documents, Donny?

NYT is reporting that Michael Cohen's office was raided by the FBI this morning. Apparently on recommendation by Mueller's office to NY Southern District prosecutors.

Seized records include payments made to Stormy Daniels and communication between Trump and Cohen. :rofl89:

"Only the best people"

Raiding an attorney's office and seizing client records is not authorized easily. Mueller's team must have given SDNY a **** ton of material to get this authorized.

The F.B.I. on Monday raided the office of President Trump’s longtime personal lawyer, Michael D. Cohen, seizing records related to several topics including payments to a pornographic-film actress.

Federal prosecutors in Manhattan obtained the search warrant after receiving a referral from the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, according to Mr. Cohen’s lawyer, who called the search “completely inappropriate and unnecessary.” The search does not appear to be directly related to Mr. Mueller’s investigation, but likely resulted from information he had uncovered and gave to prosecutors in New York.

“Today the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York executed a series of search warrants and seized the privileged communications between my client, Michael Cohen, and his clients,” said Stephen Ryan, his lawyer. “I have been advised by federal prosecutors that the New York action is, in part, a referral by the Office of Special Counsel, Robert Mueller.”

FBI raid? Says who?

Gotta be a happy Monday morning in Trumpland.

Wondering if maybe it was easier to get warrants for Trump's lawyer, because of the (to me) absolutely stupid way he chose to defend his client - specifically, trying to claim that he executed contracts and spent money on behalf of his client, without the client's knowledge.

CBS and Vanity Affair are reporting that there were raids at his house and a hotel room as well.

Very good chance that prosecutors now have the many, many NDA's with women that Cohen executed on behalf of Trump and I am assuming they specifically took documents related to Stormy Daniels because of suspicion of campaign finance law violation.

This basically might end up being a scandal parallel to the Russia investigation around illegal dealings during the campaign.

Because nothing says you're innocent like firing the director of the FBI because he won't kill an investigation into whether you fired the director of the FBI because he wouldn't kill an investigation into you.

But it goes much farther than that.  Stormy is an afterthought.  Cohen was around for a lot of Russian stuff.  One of the things about running a big criminal enterprise is that you can't just shred everything and call it a day.  You need receipts.

Tryna blackmail a guy?  Need receipts.

Laundering money?  Need receipts.

Colluding with Russians and SuperPacs and oligarchs and billionaires?  Need receipts.

There's likely some very good stuff in there.

Probably why everyone is tweeting that Trump is losing it.  Cohen's offices won't reveal where the bodies are, they are the bodies.

I also have been wondering since this whole thing started, if maybe what's going to get Trump will be his taxes.

All of these investigations mean that the investigators have to spend a lot of time going over the books of the entire Trump pyramid.  In great detail.  And if TrumpCo hasn't been massively cheating on his taxes, habitually and for decades, then I have hugely misjudged him.

Oh he has been. The idea was he was smart enough to do it legally. But I think the past year has shown not only is he an idiot, but everyone he surrounds himself with are AND they are sloppy about it

One problem is the Trump Org. trying to influence the president of Panama to interfere with the Panama Supreme Court and the decision to keep Trump Org out of the management of the Trump Hotel there. Interferes with a U.S. and Panama treaty.

Trump Org doesn't own the hotel, they were the management team, similar to lots of Trump licensing agreements.

Junior and Junior Junior manage the Trump Org, so that particular chicken may come home to roost

Supposedly Trump's taxes have been audited for years, but we need to know how his holdings/loans may be affected by his decisions as president.

So I was supposed to deploy tomorrow except now I am being kept back for medical reasons.  I have a bulging disc in my neck that is pressing on my spinal cord.  It causes numbness and severe pain on my left side (which numb and pain is a very odd sensation by the way).  I am being kept from deploying until they figure out how to fix me.  I am quite upset about not deploying as this would likely be my last sea tour before I retire.

That said, there is somewhat of a feeling of relief in not deploying during a time when our CinC will likely be impeached and well.......**** is about to get real!
