Shove it, Flake. Tweets don't mean anything when you do stupid **** like vote for that tax bill.

What did you expect the never Trumpers to vote for the Dems pet projects? You guys just don't get it - for Never-Trumpers one of the main reasons they despise Trump is because (to them) he acts/governs like a Democrat  - he is divisive.    The Tax cut wasn't a Trump issue it was a Republican issue. Trump has his silver linings (Supreme Court, Tax Cut) but over all he is a disaster in our eyes because he is a Jack-ass that uses the Democrats playbook.

I'm thoroughly convinced Trump aporopriated the Limbaugh/ Fox News/ Hannity playbook after seeing how easily conned their viewers are. His first trial was the birther thing years after it had been debunked, and the base loved it. You want to lay that ****ty brand of politics on the Ds? You don't notice the symbiosis between him and Fox and Friends? C'mon, man!

Lol. What you smoking, man? Trump is a secret Democrat!

I'd assume principled conservatives wouldn't be voting for something that adds 1.5 trillion to the deficit but that's just me. Guess principles don't really mean anything in the long run.

I do enjoy reporters using their personal twitter accounts to push articles and build their brand in the media market

Then when they make a mistake (or worse, being deceptive) claiming it was just their personal account and not the entity's account therefore it doesn't matter.

Quite pathetic.

This is silly.  He didn’t say it didn’t matter.  He apologized and was very polite about it.

He probably should've apologized at the same time he took down the tweet instead of waiting until Trump called him out on it.  Not that Trump wouldn't have raised a stink about it anyway, but hopefully you get the point.

Then talked about how it was from his "personal" twitter account

It's the PlayBook they all use when this happens and it's bull****.

It works though.

It is his personal twitter account.  He wasn’t teeeting out an article, he was sending out a joke tweet.  There’s a difference between a vetted and sourced article and a tweet sent out in a matter of seconds.

That said there is nothing wrong with using one’s twitter account to tweet about something you’ve done.  That’s what it’s for.

Unfortunately, his personal account's description that he "covers politics for @washingtonpost" is not a good look.

Lol. This is how people use their twitter accounts, both for personal and professional stuff.

He probably shoudn’t have tried to make the distinction that it’s a personal account, because most people use theirs for both personal opinions and to promote their work.  I think his point was that he wasn’t tweeting it out as someone with an authority on the situation, or as a reporter putting out an article about it, but as someone who saw the picture.

This guy can literally **** up EVERYTHING he touches. Even just by talking.

Wonder how he'll react to Erdogan bashing him and the US, as Erdogan is seemingly one of his favorite authoritarian/autocratic leaders.
