KingGibbs
Hopefully the winds keep too much snow from piling up on our roof.
JamesMadisonSkins
Looks like the most recent NOAA release of liquid has 3.3" of liquid over the entire DC Metro area. That's either 33" of wet snow, 40" of in-between, or 50" of light fluffy stuff No way that comes to be. Guess we'll see.

SemperFi Skins
I am so jealous... moved to south Florida 2 years ago... I miss snow days and drinking by the fire for a few days.. Our cold front is here for the winter... 64 degrees and yes, I know I'm one of the weird ones but I do love the winter and snow... I was stationed in Alaska for a period of time

Popeman38
Woah. How about Anne Arundel county? 18-24". The closer to the bay, the lesser the snow. EDIT: The GFS has Anne Arundel in the 24-30" band.
Zguy28
Snow on roofs would indeed be a concern I have a 12 pitch I don't go up there at all it's scary as hell. But if you have a 6 or 8 pitch take doublestrokers advice. That is a tremendous amount of weight Yeah, but in the middle of the storm will be the highest winds. Electric company said if blizzard winds (+35mph for more than 3 hours) come through, they will suspend power restoration efforts until it passes due to safety. Last thing we need is somebody blown off their roof or ladder.
GOSKINS_08
So what about pg County? Laurel/lanham area? And when should it start? I'm at work but we can leave when we feel like we need to.
zoony
50" of snow? That is terrifying. You can figure you will be losing power. That is guaranteed. Hope you all have secondary heat sources and some way to charge your cell phones. I don't want to even think about possible medical emergencies
