RFKFedEx
Congrats to Monte Coleman and Jeff Bostic. The RoF is well deserved and long overdue. These guys were blue collar players, always doing what they were supposed to do through 4 Superbowls. Proud to sport my custom #51 jersey in home white. http://www.redskins.com/news-and-events/article-1/Jeff-Bostic-Monte-Coleman-To-Be-Inducted-Into-Redskins-Ring-Of-Fame/61fbcdf8-7ca1-4264-953c-a321e0a6348b
Burgold
Bostic was always one of my favorites. The underdog, undersized lineman that they could never root out. As a Hog, he was Wilbur from Charlotte's Web. :silly: And what can you say about Monte... one of the best coverage linebackers we ever had. RFKFedEx
Monte's resume of burgundy and gold achievement crushes that of Lavar's. Thank God Monte made it in first. Both Monte and Bostic must have felt burned when Wilbur Marshall was paid big time to come here.
MintHillSkinsFan
Coleman is one of my all time favorite Redskins! Mr Consistency, always in superb shape and exactly where he was supposed to be on the field. Nobody outside the city of DC knew the names Coleman, Olkewicz and Milot but they were the heart of those great defenses!
zoony
Monte Coleman might be one of the most under-rated linebackers of all time, nevermind under-rated as a Redskin. good for both of them.

The Rook
This is such great news! Congrats to both of them. Ya know, I thought Monte was already in. 11th round draft pick from Central Arkansas. I remember his rookie year and Madden raving about him being a wild man on special teams. Lombardi's_kid_brother
They deserve it, but I feel like we're reaching the floor. Considering that we haven't exactly churned out superstars over the past two decades, who is left? Samuels obviously Portis and Moss, I suppose. Not Champ Bailey, right? Not Cooley, I would have to think. Jansen maybe?
Bang
Damn straight, Monte Coleman was one of my favorite players. That man is a Redskin to the core. In his words. YES! YESSSS! ~Bang

He was good for us, but not ring good.. i'd put Stephen Davis up before him, and i don't think I'd put Davis up. 3 guys out of the last 20 years or so. ~Bang
TimmySmith
Another reminder of the past. 2 very deserving players. Monte Coleman's interception and TD vs the Eagles in 1981 was the official start of the Joe Gibb's era of dominance, IMO.

Ghost of
They weren't on it before? Really? THe standards are a bit lower for RoF than HoF, so I'm stunned that Jeff and Monte were not already up there.

hail2skins
Jeff and Monte will make 48 people in the RoF. Can't see them running out of room before they move to a new stadium. Of course, at some point soon aren't they going to have a selection process for the "85 Greatest Redskins" to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the team? Reaper 21
I do wish we honored our history more, and treated our stadium like a shrine. I know about all of the Hogs and the glory years as this team has been passed down for generations. I just wish the team spent more time honoring the good years, and the good players that were on bad teams. Sadly the first good offensive lineman I can remember was Tre' Johnson. It has been a hard twenty five years.
RFKFedEx
Dear Dan, At our next stadium can we PLEASE not have Wayne Curry's nameplate in the RoF? That dude had nothing to to do with our team, God rest his soul.

I hear you, and if you're a pseudo middle-aged person you have great memories of the Gibbs years......but at the same time its really sad when you go to games and 95 percent of the Skins history highlights shown is from the 1980s. PCS
Redskins Ring of Fame suffers from the same problem as several other outstanding franchise in the NFL. Recognizing individuals in many cases on great teams. That said,Monte was always one of my favorites. One of the few times I remember yelling at the TV at Pettibone was for not sending him after the QB enough. Bostic and Coleman were parts of a great team(s),but they deserve to be there,(personal favoritism noted. ).

MassSkinsFan
As a youngster I was a Redskins fan and a center. Bostic was obviously my favorite player. So excited to see him being honored!!! Congratulations to both players - great guys who were linchpins of their units.
