Dark Acre
Another reminder of the past. 2 very deserving players. Monte Coleman's interception and TD vs the Eagles in 1981 was the official start of the Joe Gibb's era of dominance, IMO. IMHO, Dave Butz launched the Joe Gibb's era of dominance. For you young-uns, that refers to Dave Butz's interception against Da Bears: http://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/sports/1981/10/12/bears-errors-make-redskins-24-7-winners/0f731e86-6809-4675-90f7-99f86b428299/ As Glenn Brenner -- perhaps Redskins Nation's most-beloved broadcaster -- quipped: "If you can't see Dave Butz, you should be declared legally blind." Oh, Monte Coleman is the reason I like Trent Murphy. Not a direct comparison, but Coleman switched positions and was a niche player (coverage LB). Coleman was focused, positive, and a team player. If Murphy is the run LB equivalent of Coleman, he'll be in the Ring too, and deservedly so,
