Let's just be clear, for the record..... Butch kicked a man in the nuts, in a street fight.

I'll allow kicking in a street fight. You can't hit your fellow man in the gnads. Not unless you're Johnny Cage, and only on the highest lvl of difficulty...

Markelle Fultz finally has a diagnosis.  Doc shopped like crazy for it, but it does explain his drastic and fairly unprecedented loss of shooting ability:

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/25453907/markelle-fultz-philadelphia-76ers-expected-miss-3-6-weeks-shoulder-rehabilitation

76ers' Markelle Fultz has thoracic outlet syndrome, to miss 3-6 weeks

The article doesn't talk about treatment for his condition.  You have to wonder about effective treatment for anything that's caused nerve damage.

Story is he'll start with PT for a few weeks and see if it gets better.  If not, surgery to clear a path for the nerve (in some cases they remove a rib or two), which is more serious, but something that professional athletes have done so not necessarily career threatening.

And then there are some people that never really recover.

One of those things where the prognosis seems to be all over the place.

It might be essentially nothing in the long term, or it might be a career ender.

Did not expect KD to come out and speak truth like that concerning people not wanting to play with LeBron, especially other superstars.  I mean like, damn, no point in trying to pretend anymore, huh?

I thought KD went a little far in the criticism. Almost a pettiness towards things Lebron does that are unrelated to basketball. At least that's how it came across when I was reading it.

Agreed. I thought they had a falling out or something reading it.  But its like it opened the flood gates, Lowry came right behind him and co-signed, so cat's out the bag now.  I'll wait to see if anyone defends him as hard as KD went in on him...besides Luke Walton.

Definitely saw the how other players were scrutinized when playing with LBJ in Cleveland. Love was constantly under the microscope. From a basketball perspective, I get that. Still, KD took it beyond that. KD also wasn't diplomatic talking about Korver. Everyone understands Korver isn't a number one option or second option. Something compelled KD to really drive that point home as if he is pissed at Korver for something.

Looks like everybody is finally smartening up a bit.

Or the balls to say it because they don't believe teaming up with him and his center of the universe offense is going to get them a ring anymore, no need to "keep your options open".

I wish he was somewhere like San Antonio, it just looks like Cleveland West in Purple and Gold.  Warriors Dynasty has destroyed the free ride mantra of riding his coattails to victory.  And more I read about it, you know what else it killed?  People doing what KD did in going to the Warriors to form a superteam.  One player after the other is coming out and saying how they either don't want to be completely overshadowed and would rather be face and leader of the team.  Some guys aren't scared of that, they want that, I encourage it.  It will help limit future superteams organically without NBA having to get involved.

Warriors effectively killed two birds with one stone for the rest of us, small price to pay I guess for not being in the conversation during their run.

There are stars that will want to play with LeBron.  If John Wall or Anthony Davis were free agents today and money wasn't an issue, they would be on the first flight to LA.  No question.  The DPVE changes things though, and I think it's going to become more of a factor down the road when the Warriors finally ****ing get old and/or break up.

All-NBA players are going to be much more willing to stay with the teams that drafted them when you're talking about giving up 60+ million dollars and long term security through the first decade+ of your career.

John Wall might currently be pioneering something that is depressing and ugly, and it might become the common practice for younger stars: sticking it out to sign your DPVE with a trade kicker, then forcing your way out via trade to the place you really want to be.  Having your cake and eating it too.  There are rumors that Rich Paul is trying to orchestrate a trade to the Lakers for John.  December 15th is the earliest it could happen.  And I am going to develop an ulcer worrying about this until it finally ****ing happens.

Im not a doctor but once every few years get a client w TOS. 2 clients to be exact. Sounds like you have some exposure.

I had a TOS client whose arm would go numb if she raised it above her shoulder area. If she was driving, she couldnt use that arm to turn the wheel if it required her arm going above her elbow/shoulder level, she said it would immediately feel very heavy and almost unresponsive.

Very hard to diagnose. Basically you go from orthos to neuros to pain mngt to maybe a physiologist ... it takes years of seeing various specialized doctors not figuring it out until someone throws their hands up and says "well maybe its TOS".

There are only a few TOS specialists in MD. They are really the only ones who can come close to having an objective diagnosis. They stick a needle in the scalene and see if it reproduces the pain/symptoms and if it provides short term relief.

My other client I heard waited a few year to have surgery and it went very well.I heard surgery for TOS has really improved over the past few years.

Im glad TOS is getting exposure.

It'll be Wall.  And it's going to work out for them and by the end of the season they'll be in a battle with the Thunder for the two seed.

Lakers are sitting at the five seed now. Without the sacrifice of adding Wall. I'd rather stick with this roster. Or add a piece that makes sense. Wall doesn't.

He makes sense in that the Lakers would be turning a bunch of draft busts into a five time All Star in his prime.

Lakers would rather have Beal than Wall.

Well first off, the Lakers aren't really in a position to choose.  They're hoping a disgruntled star will force his way to LA for a return of assets that, frankly, are not very appealing.

Second, as someone who has watched the entirety of both of their careers play out, going back to their Kentucky and Florida days, it's always a bit astonishing to me that so many people think Beal is the more desirable player between the two.  Such is the power of Nike.  And the career stunting choice John made when he came into the league, of choosing Reebok out of childhood loyalty.

John is a significantly better player than Brad.  There is a reason he's a five time All Star and Brad has only been to one.  John is far better than people think, and Beal is not as good as everyone thinks.  I would absolutely rather trade Beal than John.  And if I were dealing Beal, I certainly wouldn't trade him for the bag of busts the Lakers are trying to pawn off.

The reason the Lakers have a chance at John is because John wants to be there.  He has a house in LA, but mainly, it's the LeBron connection.  Rich Paul is John's agent and I've become convinced that John has been having Paul lay the groundwork for a trade to the Lakers since at least last season.  Maybe even going back to 2016.  And I think John's desire to be in LA picked up a lot of steam after LeBron signed there in the summer.  John has a substantial trade kicker and he can force his way to LA by refusing to waive it for anyone but the Lakers.

I don't think it's that people think Beal is better than Wall, it's that everyone else seems to believe Beal is simply a better fit with LeBron. LeBron wants the ball and Wall needs the ball to be effective. Beal simply has better ability to knock down jump shots and would be better offensively off the ball.
