SkinsHokieFan
He has been with the first team for 2 weeks now getting all the reps. I think it was very obvious what was going to happen
skinsmarydu
So I guess they dispensed with the Thursday pregame plan and got it out of the way today, or even yesterday. It scrolled across GMA that RGIII would be evaluated today...I thought, "Wow, there must be an antsy Redskins fan in the graphics room", lol
Soup's Uncle
Dr. Andrews watched Will to Win and said (like everyone else) "This kid is ready!" Only joking, but I am so siked!

WhoRUSupposed2Be
Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter What Washington wanted: Redskins QB Robert Griffin III will start their Monday night opener against the Eagles. Who didn't already know this though. Looking forward to seeing some sweet action on Monday night and I hope I can go to the game.
Riggo#44
I love the double standard regarding the pre-season: Player lost for the season: Media decries: OMG...preseason so meaningless!! Recovering injured player doesn't play in preseason: OMG...hez going to be so rusty!! Needs preseason!! And yes, I made the media sound like a 15-year-old girl... Soup's Uncle
Chris Russell is on 980 right now refuting Schefter's report, saying he just talked to Andrews and Andrews said he's examining Robert tomorrow.
Califan007 The Constipated
Zac Boyer@ZacBoyerNothing new on Robert Griffin III playing Week 1. That had been his, his coaches' and his teammates' goal. He'll be evaluated tomorrow.
Soup's Uncle
Man, don't know if any of you are listening to this, but Russell is so frickin negative.

WhoRUSupposed2Be
Russell knows his Giants are an after-thought and how does one refute what Shefter says... he is the man that wrote Shanahan's bio.
Mr. Sinister
I think this is just another episode of the local media not liking the fact that because Griffin is so popular, they sometimes have to take a backseat when it comes to news/interviews. Dudes going to play week 1.
greenspandan
Man, don't know if any of you are listening to this, but Russell is so frickin negative. he's pointlessly negative. he's like "it's not a sure thing -- even though there's been no swelling SO FAR, his knee could swell up tomorrow. so you never know." like ... yeah. or he could be hit by a meteor or get into a car accident or fall down the stairs. all are possibilities. but to act like "hey it could go either way, since this thing that hasn't been happening could suddenly happen" is disingenuous. Chris Russell also sounded like he was being defensive, as if Schefter's report somehow made Russell look bad or something.

It's like an awesome day, and Chris Russell has to piss in everyone's cereal. I never like that dude, and now I'm really starting to despise him. He needs to go cover the Giants. Not saying I prefer blind homerism, but Russell is just the worst.
ADF
Chris Russell's ideal QB's for this team are the likes of Jon Beck and Matt Flynn. One guy is out of the league and there is talk of the other guy losing his job to Pryor. This guy is either clueless or he's intentionally pushing crappy moves for out team. Soup's Uncle
Yeah. I definitely got to him. He just said on the radio "If you think I'm 'STIRRING IT UP', I'm just speaking facts"
autoidiodyssey
How much longer do we have to deal with Russell? 980 has Rich Campbell as an "insider" and John Keim now that he covering the Skins for ESPN.com. Do they really need a 3rd "beat" guy? If they need Skins news just go to Keim he is one of the best in the biz. Russell is a debacle.
TD_washingtonredskins
Why are you accusing him of that? Just curious. My only point is that this is not a game to him. His job is to report things as he sees it. When people tweet that he's doing this or that, it's potentially impacting his career and reputation. I don't particularly like him as a beat reporter, but it would suck to have 100 people calling me out everytime I had an opinion or wasn't ready to report something. His job isn't to make Redskin fans feel happy.
