Ellis
Why trade when you can just turn M loose on him? I think that's why the trade might happen. M is too wild to be kept in captivity, as it were. She'd survive. That's what she does. And Rick knows it. Or maybe the doctor will free Andrea and my theory is complete ****.
Jumbo
I smell a possible misdirect of appearing to trade Michonne, but there being a plan behind it. Just playing with ideas, but I think the way Rick's group is most likely to prevail is to get some serious strategic edge via someone (or some several) Woodbury people---like Milton, Tyrese, etc. Maybe blowing a bunch of important **** up (vehicles, ammo, gas supplies), for instance. I had been thinking that if you take out the Gov, that might do it, but I think there's several immediate underlings that would take his course of action anyway---unless Milton can gain control. I just can't see the prison group handling Woodbury's firepower in a straight up battle. Another scenario would be (or may include as a part of things) Andrea and Milton somehow being free and able to talk to a Woodbury assembly of some size and reveal the Gov's dark side, finding enough of those folks will be persuaded to weaken/ oppose the regime's plans. Ellis
I agree with Jumbo. But I also think that in close quarters combat, Rick's group wins. It's the only way to counter the firepower that Woodbury has. I say let Woodbury infiltrate the prison. Then Ricks group has to take em out strategically from Cell to Cell. They can't bring heavy duty firepower into the prison (at least, not much, such as a tank). They can't burn it down (concrete) although they may be able to smoke em out. They can't blow it up (for the most part, it's a prison designed to hold people in) but I'm sure the tank could severely compromise part of the prison if it is shot at repeatedly in one spot. Ricks best chance is to separate Woodbury from their firepower... is to draw them into the prison. No one knows the prison floor plan better than Ricks group. I doubt Tyrese and his group were able to give much intel on the layout.
talk show host
So got all ready to catch up yesterday watching on demand. Start the first episode they have and it was the 10th of this season. Jumbo
I like your take, Ellis. I have been thinking guerrilla warfare more than straight up.

twa
I agree with your proposed strategy. Ricks group could just lead them into a walker infested area and shut the door or just shut the doors and attract the walkers....let the Gov expend ammo and manpower. one road in leaves some area for mischief as well
NoCalMike
The prison storyline has been so different in the show compared to the comic, it's hard to predict just exactly how the "war" will go down once it finally does. In the comic, Rick's group was hardly in the rough shape they are in now, and the Prison was actually a place of comfort for a long while. They were actually able to hold off Woodbury until the Governor became so irate he was willing to just let bullets fly everywhere including at his own people just to cause as much chaos as possible. Also, Tyrese....well I am not going to spoil even the comic situation for him, but I am very interested to see where his character goes from here in the show, assuming her survives the last two episodes of this season. Haven't read the comics per say, but I did research on what happened. Might as well be an alternate universe at this point. I expected them to be in the prison for awhile, but now I anticipate them being out by the end of this season.
Ellis
Yeah, at this point the AMC story has deviated quite liberally from the comic which is great for someone like me who has read the series.
Jumbo
Yeah, at this point the AMC story has deviated quite liberally from the comic which is great for someone like me who has read the series. I hear that was planned from the beginning, and I think a very intelligent move. Someday I hope to get around to the comic too. Side note---if anyone saw Todd McFarlane as one of the panel guests on the previous Talking Dead---didn't he come off like a dip**** and kind of a sleazy dude? Almost like a SNL caricature named "Todd" with the over-tan, cheesy necklace, N'Sync haircut, and all his handy touching of his co-panelists and failed wit . Ellis
I didn't even realize it was Todd McFarlane at first. Growing up, I was a huge fan of the Spawn comic and Todd was a God in my eyes for so long. I emulated his inking style in almost all of the art I made. But once I realize that was him on the Talking Dead... I thought he looked like a complete douche. Like a former porn star or something.
skinswillwin06
I know someone that works for Larry King's online TV show. They are going to be doing an interview with the actor who plays The Governor and the actress who plays Andrea. He asked me for questions to ask them and I can't think of very many. It can be about their characters or about the show in general. Anyone got any questions for them?
visionary
Er...what the heck is Rick up to? Is he playing Merle? ---------- Post added March-24th-2013 at 09:25 PM ---------- This show is making less and less sense. This episode is a mess. ---------- Post added March-24th-2013 at 09:50 PM ---------- Ok, that was kind of cool. They should have left out the Michone nonsense though. Destino
Merle almost took the gov out on his own. Rick never so much as asked him how to do it, despite Merle knowing the guy best of all. Instead he set the ball rolling that once again got people killed. I'm over his woe is me routine.

He's changed his mind on turning over Michonne two or three times already. She might want to hide until the war is over, just to be safe.
