'Skins_&_'Stons
While the trailer is pretty compelling, as a huge Spidey fanboy, I will be skeptical of the film until I actually see it. SM3 was just a huge kick in the junk and I was ok with the letting the franchise die because films 1 & 2 were just so unbelievably amazing (pun intended). Why do a reboot so soon? Is Hollywood COMPLETELY out of original ideas??? I swear we are destined to become the world seen in Idiocracy (which was a great, original flick). -S&S Anywho, here it is: http://www.themoviebox.net/movies/2012/Amazing-Spider-Man/trailer.php (full, glorious Quicktime HD). FanboyOf91
With all these reboots coming up, comic book movies truly are becoming like comic books. :puke:
RonArtest15
Spider-man was going the way of the Batman franchise before Christopher Nolan took over. This series NEEDED a re-boot because once emo spidey made an appearance, I knew that it had run its course. I can't wait to see a darker version of Spider-man and I've got high hopes for whats in store for 2012
thebluefood
Why do a reboot so soon? My father told me something as a little boy and it's something I've never forgotten. He said "Son, if you have to ask 'why', the answer is probably money."
Destino
Looks like they made spider man the cool kind of dumb character and his girlfriend the smart nerdy one. Sign of the times.
G.A.C.O.L.B.
I really hope that rooftop scene isn't actually part of the movie. That **** looks ridiculous.
Burgold
Booo... I don't mind the starting over, but we don't need another origin story. The origin was done recently and really well.
'Skins_&_'Stons
I really hope that rooftop scene isn't actually part of the movie. That **** looks ridiculous. I completely agree. If a significant amount of the webslinging scenes are shot in POV, I'll literally vomit (from motion sickness).
D'Pablo
Well, considering I absolutely hated all of Sam Raimi's movies, this seems like a welcomed turn. Am I the only one that thinks Raimi's first two movies were almost exactly the same? Then, he turned Venom into that kid from That 70's Show. Raimi's dialogue was about as cheesy as Schumaker's films, too.

Burgold
Man, they're even making remakes of bombs. GI Joe flopped horribly. I was unfortunate enough to have seen it too.

MattFancy
King, not saying some won't be good, just saying that there's alot of remakes/sequels coming out next year. There just doesn't seem to be much creativity left in Hollywood.
Pick6
King, not saying some won't be good, just saying that there's alot of remakes/sequels coming out next year. There just doesn't seem to be much creativity left in Hollywood. The problem is this is business 101. Why risk making a movie that will flop? You can make a sequel or remake and at least break even. For the summer this is a cash cow formula. We will see original movies through the fall and spring. You can't blame Hollywood for wanting to pay the bills. You have to blame society for letting them get away with it.
'Skins_&_'Stons
What have you seen that could possibly convince you we haven't already? Touché. The years passed, mankind became stupider at a frightening rate. Some had high hopes the genetic engineering would correct this trend in evolution, but sadly the greatest minds and resources where focused on conquering hair loss and prolonging erections. Botched
This one looks about 10x better than those Tobey Maguire movies. It is pretty stupid that they're already making another Spider Man movie though.
