So I've started revising my list of things to do/places to go before I die. Any of you guys have a list of stuff you want to do during your lifetme? If so, please share...you might have something cool in mind that I never thought of and will add to my own list A few things from my list... - Visit the great pyramids in Egypt - Cage dive in South Africa with Great White sharks - Take a picture in front of the Taj Mahal So, what are some of yours??? For me - 1) Take a year and get a "Round the World Ticket" (British Airways I know has them) and just travel with no set plans. 2) Start my own business/be my own boss. 3) Watch a Redskins Super Bowl as an adult, going to the parade, etc. - all the Super Bowls of the past I was very young and the memories are blurry. 4) Become a great cook. I cook every night in my house (I cook, GF cleans). I am pretty good. But I want to be great. I want people to come over for dinner and be like "DAMN, that was amazing." Thinking of some more..... Spending a month in Alaska on a Sea Kayaking/Backpacking trip between May and June Not as long as I would have hoped but I can only take so much time off. Machu Picchu is next on the definite list of things to do. Hike the entire Appalachian Trail (may have to break it up into sections). Once I know he'll be secure as an adult, everything else will be gravy. I have some ideas of my own, but I'll steal a couple from you guys that gave me good ideas: 1) Visit Ireland (ancestors) and Italy (especially Venice) 2) See the Redskins win 3 SB's to pass the Cowpukes 3) Visit all 50 states. gbear Posted March 26, 2010 Share Posted March 26, 2010 Funny to read and post in this as I am watching bucket list while I row on my rowing machine (yesterday and finish tonight). When I got sick and the list of things it might be included terminal cancer, I was told to make a list of things I wanted to do before I die. Some of them I've done, but many still remain unaccomplished. Off the top of my head, here are a few that are suitable for sharing: - Teach my kids to drive stick shift - Write a short story that anyone would actually want to read - See Old Faithful errupt - Run a marathon (looks like half will have to do, but still) - Coach a soccer team - See the northern lights - African Safari - Feel like the most important person to someone or some team - See the great wall of China - die with dignity knowing I lived a live well lived Things from the list I've done: - Paragliding from a mountain - Scuba dive - White water raft down the Grand Canyon - run a 10k - row 20k on the rowing machine - a few others not to be disclosed here Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
