Midnight Judges
The rape theory is infinitely more plausible than what Christians believe.
NavyDave
Coincidently, Paul Verhoeven was conceived when his mother was raped by a Roman pizza delivery boy. Mama Verhoeven: I don't have $8.95 for the pizza the can I pay for it another way?? You can't rape the willing

Corcaigh
Just because alot of people will see it as another pathetic attempt by liberal, morally corrupt types to denigrate the Christian religion so the line of what is right and wrong can be erased shouldn't stop anyone from expressing themselves. No matter how foolish or stupid that post is. The Christian academics quoted in the article have a different view, but what to those morally corrupt liberal degenerates know? The idea dates from the second century, apparently.
Kosher Ham
Damn Mike ....really ? haha. We should all agree on this, it is highly unlikely that she was a virgin.
IONTOP
If she is offering it to you its not rape, its falling for the seduction I consider myself a fairly good looking guy... Sometimes I like to volunteer for the local community, so late at night I will sneak into bedrooms of fat, ugly women and just start going to town on them... When they finally wake up, they never have any complaints... I always tell employers about that when they ask if I do any charity work...

And you... good looking...ha.

Corcaigh
This is absolutely insulting. I dont understand why people feel the need or are allowed to come in here and insult something that is held so high by others. Who in the hell are you to post something like this? This is nothing but an attack on my religious beliefs and you are ONLY doing it to cause problems. What a silly reaction to the OP. More than a few Christians do not believe in the virgin birth. Including this one, Bishop Joseph Sprague of the United Methodist Church ... "the "myth" of the virgin birth "was not intended as historical fact, but was employed by Matthew and Luke in different ways to appoint poetically the truth about Jesus as experienced in the emerging church." Sprague defined a theological myth as "not false presentation but a valid and quite persuasive literary device employed to point to ultimate truth that can only be insinuated symbolically and never depicted exhaustively." Jesus, Sprague insists, was born to human parents and did not possess "trans-human, supernatural powers."

Stophovr6
Of course people have heard of freedom of speech. Just because alot of people will see it as another pathetic attempt by liberal, morally corrupt types to denigrate the Christian religion so the line of what is right and wrong can be erased shouldn't stop anyone from expressing themselves. No matter how foolish or stupid that post is. Is the line being erased by those that don't believe? Looks like it's more the fault of those that don't practice what they preach. NavyDave
Is the line being erased by those that don't believe? Looks like it's more the fault of those that don't practice what they preach. The line is challenged by those who not only don't believe but who want to be morally corrupt and live in a society that embraces that perverted viewpoint. CrabR
i dont give a **** what you all think of my reasons for being pissed but this is blasphemous and a personal attack on my religious beliefs. Lets stone him...............and his kid "He that blasphemeth the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him." -- Leviticus 24:16 "Because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die." -- 2 Samuel 12:14 Other people have thier own views and the majority of the world do not view him as a saviour but i do think the article is bunk
