Seeing as how He created the Heavens and the Earth, but no mention of, say, aliens on Neptune, wouldn't that be a very damaging blow to the religious argument? I don't know, but asking very religious people if they believe in life on other planets is usually fun. When they say "no" and you tell them there is life on Mars, they won't believe you. The basic idea behind the story is, because of the fall of man (see Genesis), the human race has been quarantined from the rest of the alien races and know nothing about them, while the aliens live in spiritual harmony with God and eachother.
