Cooleyfan1993
thats stupid, it aint even that bad. pretty sure the only way this happens is IF the storm is bad when we wake up sunday morning. a decision likely wont be made until then.
Suffolk_Skins
pretty sure the only way this happens is IF the storm is bad when we wake up sunday morning. a decision likely wont be made until then. Nope it would be Saturday to avoid people traveling for a 1pm ET game. Which worries me that they will make a stupid knee jerk decision based on a weather report and it turns out to be ok. It is set to be 30 MPH winds at worst, even that's playable surely, I've landed in 45MPH!

Sacks 'n' Stuff
Just fly everybody to England and play it there. More of a home field advantage than we'd get at FedEx… I get to watch Redskins with my morning coffee… This idea is full of win.

LetThePointsSoar
I was attending a Dolphins/Chiefs game years ago when Hurricane Wilma decided to attend. They moved the game to Friday to accommodate that one.

Sacks 'n' Stuff
Gonna make it hard for Chip to run his offense in that type of weather. I say play the ****.

DogofWar1
Gonna make it hard for Chip to run his offense in that type of weather. I say play the ****. Gotta keep it to the ground, with the ground and pound. Battle in the trenches. If our OLine, AlMo and Jonesy can do well, we could have a strong offensive showing. Run them both 25 times, Thompson another 12, and DY 7 or so. Now we just need our pass rush to penetrate so we can Cowboys their running game and win big. And if the game DOES get moved, a lot of people are going to be pissed about their fantasy prospects. Not that those matter, or that there are a lot of high value fantasy players on either team, but it's still an interesting rub. Also, what would they be considering doing if we didn't have the same bye week?
NickyJ
the idea is full of lose. theres a game in london sunday already. dolphins vs jets. Okay, then let's make the idea full of win: Sunday Night Football in the UK with un-retired John Madden. They play at 8:30 there, we get to see it at 3:30 here, so Sacks gets to watch it with his afternoon coffee.

They play at 8:30 there, we get to see it at 3:30 here, so Sacks gets to watch it with his afternoon coffee. No flaws in this plan. Except for the fact that nobody would be able to get home. Fans come from all over the country to watch. Parking at Wembley is intentionally restrictive. Public transport outside the city dead by midnight on a Sunday. London underground staff go on strike or demand a 500% pay rise the moment change is proposed, I'm sure overground drivers would take a page out of their book if they had to work overtime at short notice. skins island connection
Nothing like a 12 ft storm surge to mess up your weekend, eh? As a survivor of hurricane Ike, I can say first hand it is nasty, and dangerous; it would be a game where the passing yds would be lower than the speed limit in a church parking lot; unless its a Presbyterian church then all bets are off. My guess is they move it west, maybe to some college stadium and play there.
hail2skins
Also, what would they be considering doing if we didn't have the same bye week? My best guess would be that they'd move it to Monday in that case.
Jacoah
I'm just sick of all the ****ing rain. It flooded just across the street from our house. I try not to complain too much, because our neighbors had four feet of water in their house. We have had water seep into our basement and now it smells awful. And it is doubtless we will avoid rain from this hurricane. I'm okay with the Redskins taking another week off. It'll give them more time to prepare for the next game. Unfortunately, now I'm going to have to scramble to find a legit TE for my fantasy teams.
Skinsinparadise
on 980 this morning they seem to be ignoring the bi-week scenario and hanging on to Monday night.
Epochalypse
Wait people this is BLEACHER REPORT! Saying it MAY HAPPEN! tshile
playing monday night makes more sense, unless the storm hangs around. it's Thursday and the projections of path have stayed roughly the same and intensity has gone up. but they're still not very confident in the path projections. Sacks 'n' Stuff
I would think the team would be upset if they moved it to the bye week. That's essentially getting rid of our bye in the sense that we would have taken a different approach to this week (rest & recovery vs preparation) if we'd know we would be off this weekend. Peregrine
I think Mara is eyeing this as another opportunity to screw over the Redskins. Hey, if he can get them to lose another home game by playing a a neutral spot, or lose a bye week by switching it with week 8 why not?
