He will try to keep a percentage of team it makes to much money for him to give it up. He will not be making decisions which is most important thing.

No chance. Anyone who buys into the team knows how toxic Snyder is and would want him COMPLETELY gone. The value of the franchise has a ceiling as long as that dbag has any sort of investment in it.

It'll take a while but I believe he's going to sell the whole team. Probably won't see new ownership in place until 2024 at the earliest though. Its gonna be messy because of the congressional reports and Snyder's potential battle with the league.

Yeah, I'm still going to need that prayer emoji, dude.

There must be enough owner votes and they're trying to save face.

6 – Byron Allen (Group Purchase)

Media mogul Byron Allen began his career in the entertainment world as a standup comedian, but his business savvy over the years has made him a very wealthy man.  As the chairman and CEO of Entertainment Studios, Allen has built a media empire that includes TheGrio, Entertainment Studios Motion Pictures, The Weather Channel, Allen Media Broadcasting (owner of multiple television stations), Diamond Sports Group (Bally Sports), Freestyle Releasing, Entertainment Studios Networks, and operating the Diamond Sports Group (Bally Sports).

5 – The Mars Family

If you like candy, then this is the ownership group that would have an obvious appeal.  Mars, Inc. produces the M&Ms, Snickers, Three Musketeers, and Twix candies.  The world’s leader in candy production makes a lot of money and all of it goes to the Mars family.  Yes, they are not a publicly traded organization.

Mars, Inc. is headquartered in MacLean, Virginia and having a local company’s family as the team owners would be a huge bonus.  They can easily afford to build a new stadium and we featured Mars (M&Ms brand) as our number one stadium sponsor of the future.  Will it happen?  We do know that M&Ms sponsored NASCAR driver Kyle Busch and Joe Gibbs Racing for fifteen years (sponsorship ends early next month).  Perhaps they would like to enter another sport.

4 – Steve Ballmer

In 1975, a small company was created in Albuquerque, New Mexico by a couple of young computer savants – Bill Gates and Paul Allen.  They soon moved the successful startup to the Seattle area and Microsoft was getting ready to dominate the PC world.  In 1980, a business manager was hired and he was a computer guru as well.  Steve Ballmer would help take Microsoft to new heights in the 1980s and beyond.

3 – Jay-Z  (Group Purchase)

Here would be another opportunity for the NFL to have a minority owner, but Jay-Z would need to have other investors to help make an acquisition possible.  His worth is more than $1 billion and the entertainment icon would have plenty of entertainment friends to help with the purchase.  Fans would certainly be intrigued with the presence of Beyoncé (his wife) in the owner’s booth for each game.  Gawking aside, the power couple are successful owners of the Brooklyn Nets franchise of the NBA.

2 – Elon Musk

Everything that Elon Musk touches seems to turn into gold.  He founded Zip2 in 1995 and sold it in 1999 to Compaq for several hundred million dollars.  He founded X.com (a payment company) in 1999 and merged it with another company to form PayPal.  eBay acquired PayPal in 2002 and Musk turned a tidy profit of $175 million.  He was just getting started.  In 2002, Musk founded SpaceX and it is now the most successful commercial business on the planet.

1 – Jeff Bezos

Jeff Bezos is a self-professed sports nut, especially the NFL.  It is widely known that the founder, former CEO, and President of Amazon would love to have an NFL franchise.  There are strong rumors that he may have his sights set on the Washington Commanders.  After all, he did add the Washington Post to the companies that he owns.  Bezos already has a cozy relationship with the league through Amazon.  The Thursday night games are broadcast through Amazon Prime and the production thus far has been quite good.

Yeah there's going to be more lawyers involved in this than you can count.

It's going down within 6 months.

A sell is significantly less noisy (less lawyers) than an ownership stake or percentage with governorship authority.

"Dan and Tanya Snyder and the Washington Commanders announced today that they have hired BofA Securities to consider potential transactions," the team said in a statement.

"The Snyders remain committed to the team, all of its employees and its countless fans to putting the best product on the field and continuing the work to set the gold standard for workplaces in the NFL."

It was unclear from the team's statement whether the Snyders are exploring selling their stake in the franchise or if they are seeking to sell a minority share.

However, a team spokesperson told ESPN's Adam Schefter that all options were being considered.

"We are exploring all options," the spokesperson said.

Congress continues to investigate Dan Snyder for the workplace culture created during his ownership. The NFL, led by attorney Mary Jo White, also is investigating Snyder for a second time, stemming from an allegation of sexual misconduct. The first investigation resulted in a $10 million fine of the organization.

There also are investigations by the attorney generals in Washington, D.C. and Virginia regarding financial improprieties by the organization, which the team has denied.

Last month at the NFL's fall meeting in New York, Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay became the first NFL owner to publicly call for the league to seriously consider removing Snyder from NFL ownership.

"I believe there is merit to removing him as owner of the [Commanders]," Irsay said from the hotel lobby of the Conrad New York Downtown. "There's consideration that he should be removed."

The league requires 24 of 32 owners to approve such a vote, which never has been done at the NFL level.

A Commanders spokesperson called Irsay's comments "inappropriate" and said results of current investigations will cause Irsay to see Snyder in a better light. The team's statement said that "there is no reason for the Snyders to consider selling the franchise. And they won't."

Commissioner Roger Goodell told reporters at the fall meeting that he had "little to no discussion" with ownership about the Snyder issue, in large part because White's investigation is not complete.

A recent ESPN investigation detailed the matter while painting Snyder's shrewd plans against fellow owners and Goodell, using private investigators to acquire "dirt" from their past.

Snyder sent a letter to fellow NFL owners addressing the ESPN investigation and refuting his alleged use of private investigators.

"That is patently false and intended to erode the trust and goodwill between owners that I take quite seriously," he told his counterparts according to the letter, which was obtained by ESPN and dated Oct. 17. "I have never hired any private investigator to look into any owner or the Commissioner. I have never instructed or authorized my lawyers to hire any private investigator on my behalf for any such purpose. And I never would."

Snyder bought the franchise for $800 million in 1999. The franchise is now worth $5.6 billion, according to Forbes.

If it is for a sale of minority shares to get cash for stadium, gonna be heartbreaking.

The NFL would have to approve it by a vote of the owners. He won’t get 24 votes while the investigation is pending. This only works if he sells the team.

It's happening.  Hell, Bezos can right a check now.

Nothing else matters now. Even if the sale doesn't get approved until thge owners meetings in March; 2023 is th e last year of our misery.

Ron and co. Are gone after the 23 season.  Though Ron may decide to get out now and We have a stopgap coach for a year.

I would love for a quick sale; so we c an get the new owner asap and start the new era in 23.

I would
