Ive been to the ES tailgates. I’ve met many of you. About 60% of the people on this board are obese. I guarantee you that.

Its nice to know that he considers most of the people he engages on a daily with as fat lazy stupid pieces of ****.

Yes, if you are an obese person, you are most likely lazy.  Not definitely, but most likely.

You don't become obese overnight and it happens by making poor decisions over a long period of time.

I do really feel bad for obese children though because it's not their fault.  It's the parents fault.  And most of the time, their parent is obese too.  The children aren't the ones who have been making those bad choices, they've been taught that they are the right decisions to make from their parents.

And yeah blah blah there are medical conditions I know.  Those are a rarity.

Never said anything about stupid though but keep putting words in my mouth like most of the other people replying to me in here.

Most of you can't even grasp the concept of chubby, overweight, and obese.  Nor skinny, normal, and super model builds.

It's either super model or obese to most of you.  No middle ground.

I mean you have someone calling a literal, by the definition, obese person, chubby.

Im not the one arguing that an objectively fat person isn’t fat….

But you are regularly arguing, getting owned and coming back for more.

Perhaps you should go back and see the post where I literally said that I'm certain she's considered medically obese.  She's just not what I think of when I think of a fat person.

or you like to eat. There’s a lot of people who work with their mind.

Are you saying you can't like to eat and NOT be obese?

Yes, getting to the point you are obese is extremely mental and that is most of it.  And to get out of that, you have to put in a lot of work to change your life style and habit.

Reminds me of all the jerks in high school calling me fat and lazy that grew up to work in animal shelters or some **** 🤪

*this is not directed at anyone in particular despite that feeling you have in your chest. I swear. Really!

Destino...my MMA guy.

Low blow at the beginning there.  Fighting words.

You'd probably gogoplata him but hey.  What does that prove?

I think he's looking out for the health of the human race.  Not having us give billions to Nestle every year, leading to heart attacks and whatever.

I think you would be better at the comp being in shape, not letting it turn you in to the hunchback of Notre Dame.

here’s the thing, the older I get the more I realize that what works is what matters.  Dumping on people for being overweight doesn’t create a healthier society.  It does the opposite.  It makes people withdraw, feel shame and stress, and grow defensive.  All of that leads to worsening outcomes in terms of physical health and mental health.

if the goal is to create a healthier society, the path is to create a kinder society.  One where people don’t need to pour so much energy into defending who they are, and focus instead on becoming who they’d like to be.  We don’t have to pretend obesity is healthy, but we don’t have to pretend physical beauty equates to a person’s worth either.

Fat people make a lot (over a lifetime) of dumb/poor decisions/choices.

That doesn’t imply stupidity though right?!

I endorse this.

I also would like to point out my post from yesterday, where I said it gives depressed over-eaters hope.

I don't know how else to put it.

If anything, this gives overweight people hope.  Good stuff.

However.  Get on Tyra Banks level workouts.  She isn't anorexic, she works hard.

This is hard to argue against I think. But we will see. I know for a fact that the best motivation I ever got to go to the gym was not the negative emotions I had back when I was suuuper unhealthy. Though that did make me angry, it just pushed me further into the corner I was comfortable in.

What got me out and about my my wife, at the time not even my GF, who was a personal trainer and really introduced me to as many positive thinking other personal trainers as she could. Eventually I became friends with people I would not have ever been friends with. And eventually they talked me into just hanging out in the gym and it just went from there. Positivity always works better than negativity in my experience.

also…..I knew my faith in you wasn’t misplaced! 😆

You're arguing semantics now.

You all are implying that I said people who are obese/lazy cant get good jobs because they are stupid.  You can still be super smart and intelligent and be obese.

What I said is that most obese people have a pattern of being lazy and making poor decisions because becoming obese doesn't happen overnight, it takes years.

It has no effect if the obese dude is the next Bill Gates or anything though intelligence wise.

I think your own bias (and apparent disdain for overweight people in general) is creating connections where they might not exist. I've worked with plenty of people in my career who were very overweight but who were incredibly hard working, thorough, and conscientious employees.

I went from 185 pounds (slightly overweight) to under 125 last year.

It only took 3 months to lose all of that weight too.

Now I can eat whatever I want and gain no weight.

I'm not recommending Pancreatic Cancer to everyone, but it has worked (in at least one way) for me! :rofl89:

1. What are we doing if it isn’t semantics?

2. I said no such thing. To you or anyone else.

3. We can agree on that. And we can probably agree that there’s an equal amount of ideal body weight or under-weight that can be equally ignorant or intelligent.

And we can infer that because body weight isn’t the determining factor.

4. Yes, of course. Weight is typically gained over a long period of time.

But it doesn’t apply stupidity or ignorance to have an addictive lifestyle.

porn addiction? Living in debt (spending)? Video games? Social media? Internet? TV? Over working?

All addictions. Lack of impulse control.

And if making a lot of impulsive decisions makes one stupid or lazy (for not correcting the destructive behaviour)…. then I’m afraid we’re all in the boat brother.

Also just cause why not

i started my workout program 6’ 175lbs several weeks ago and solidly up in the 182-185 range. Trying to hit like 190/195 for a total 15-20lbs gain

I’ve never weighted this much in my life

no **** I graduated highschool like 145. I know cause that was my weight class senior year. Well 140, but shedding before weighin was easy plus we always had allowances for some reason in the 2-3 lbs range cause of holidays and other odd reasons

Why the hell is there still an SI swimsuit issue in an age when free porn is abundant on the web? The very proof that it is an archaic worthless product is that it now deliberately selects someone obese knowing that the controversy will generate more buzz than the worn out tame cliche pictures of stunning women in bikinis.
