Maybe a decade ago or more I would agree with this take.  The GOP today is not a party worth having their hands on the wheel. Especially when Manchin and Sinema are pretty much a solid anchor against progressivism.

So in 2022 it's a lazy political take... especially after January 6.

Oddly enough I don't see him recommending gridlock in the 2018 midterms.

If we had some functioning Democracy with 435 indepenent Reps and 100 independent Senators... gridlock would be fine.  As it is we have pretty much total party control on everything.

So Tesla stock is down about 35% in the last month or two. I'm sure his willingness to push the GOP won't hurt sales or the brand at all.

Fake news! We all know how much the libs love their oil guzzling land yachts! Conservatives are totally into green energy.

If most people want it why would "democracy" need to be in quotes?

Most people don’t want it.

Funny how that works when one party is completely bat**** crazy. 🤭

Yes, but I think republicans want one part rule more than democrats do. The work to suppress the vote, incite violence related to elections, and condone (at the least) interference from foreign governments.
