Spaceman Spiff
Very sad. One of my earliest memories was meeting him with my mom at church in Middleburg when I was a kid. I can remember him smiling at me. And then my mom would always remind me about it when we'd see him on the news. RIP to a DC legend. 1
Burgold
Not sure if he was the first superstar weatherman, but he was one of the most famous and best beloved.

goskins10
What an awful loss. What a great person. I remember being a kid and going to see Ronald McDonald. The later I would listen to The Joy Boys with my AM radio. I was fortunate enough to meet him as an adult. I was a store manger for Hardees near the WH (not there anymore) and we provided coffee and Cinn/Raisin bisquits for the annual White House Easter Egg Hunt. He did the weather from the lawn and I got to meet him when he came to get biscuits. He could have sent someone but he came himself. He could not have been more kind. That was more than 35 years ago and I will never forget it. For those that never got hear them - I present The Joy Boys of Radio:
Aristarchus
I had always hoped he would congratulate himself on his 100th birthday.
