SVOLT, based in Changzhou, China, has announced that it has manufactured cobalt-free batteries designed for the EV market. Aside from reducing the rare earth metals, the company is claiming that they have a higher energy density, which could result in ranges of up to 800km (500 miles) for electric cars, while also lengthening the life of the battery and increasing the safety. 88Comrade2000
Gasoline is becoming worthless EV- Electric Vehicle ICE- Internal Combustible Engine For EVs to replace ICEs you need infrastructure. All those Gas Stations will need converted into EV charging stations. Probably, have just one pump for gas and the rest are charging stations. skinsmarydu
They had 4 at the GA Power office near me (where you can pay your bill, etc.). That office is closed now, and the charging stations are gone too, so that experiment didn't do well on the NE side of Atlanta.

For EVs to become the new mass production vehicle; you better be able to charge quickly. EVs won’t get mass acceptance unless they have range of ICE vehicles and you can charge them instantly. 2030-2035 is when they are EVs will be everywhere. By then, technology will be that the range and charging issues will be solved.

Chevrolet, Cadillac, Dodge classic cars offer opportunity Ford brought back the Broncos. Jeep is bring back the Wagoneer. GMC is bring back an electric truck and suv version of the Hummer. What classic car model, would you like see revived? Given the popularity of SUVS/CUVS; I would like to see a modern version of the old AMC Eagle. Ford is bringing a classic name, Maverick. Instead of a modern version of the car; it's a small unibody truck, smaller than the Ranger.

Bigger cars, if there are any won't be made by American car companies.
TradeTheBeal!
Actually, US manufacturers make a lot of cars. They’re wagons with a 2 inch lift and they call them “CUVs”. Now, they are not making many sedans anymore.

China
See the road sign that’s about to take over America By 2030, an estimated 20% of all cars sold will be electric vehicles. And by 2035, states like California will ban the sale of gas-powered vehicles. Soon, the gas station, as we know it, could be extinct, replaced by an exponential demand for electric vehicle charging stations. And that will change the way we go on road trips forever. So we asked the San Francisco design firm NewDealDesign (known for creating products ranging from the original FitBit to the Postmates delivery robot) to imagine how all of our signage will have to change in this new era. Would the blue gas station signs we have on the side of highways still make sense in this new world? What they responded with was a sign concept that could boost the economies of small town America. Instead of being color-printed metal, the sign itself is an e-ink display—something like a big Kindle on a stick. That means the sign can be continuously updated, reads well in sunlight, and uses so little power that it could run on solar energy alone. The big idea: Instead of your pulling off at some random truck stop to fill up as we do now, stations would be located just far enough off the beaten path, which the sign would woo you to—thereby routing traffic back through small towns everywhere. The premise makes a lot of sense because EVs will forcibly change our behavior on road trips. It takes just 2-3 minutes to gas up a car. Meanwhile, the common DC Fast Charging standard used by electric cars today requires 20-40 minutes to juice up the vehicle. That means people traveling across the country will have serious time to kill, the sort of time that would be wasted looking through mystery meats spinning on the truck stop’s roller grill.
