StillUnknown
that quote didn't really move me. I'm gonna boo because he's wearing that jersey, but ain't much in that quote  only thing thats bugged me since the move, is that he hasn't put out any kind of thanks to fans for the time here.

This coupled with the Phillies fan worship. They are the worst in baseball.
@DCGoldPants
The quote didn't do anything for me. Didn't feel like a heel turn or anything.  We know most of it was BS.  Hoping this thread isn't mostly about him all year 2

Everyone knows Philly turns on their teams as fast as anyway. I'm sure he's aware also. If he didn't say this stuff I'd think something is wrong.  I actually expect him to keep it up when things aren't going great. Fans will heckle and he'll keep it together. He's trained well that way.

PleaseBlitz
Informative article about the Nat's loyalty programs and various other changes to the ballpark experience. This is the first year I've bought a min-season ticket package, so not really sure what I should know at this point.   https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2019/03/22/nats-open-loyalty-program-all-fans-expand-ticketing-options/?utm_term=.21aae8bdf81a

PleaseBlitz
I don't really like the hit-Robles-ninth thing. First, it means he'll get less at bats than the pitcher's spot. Second, sure, Robles will see better pitches hitting before Eaton, but now the 7th spot (probably Gomes or Suzuki) will see worse pitches (and they have more power). At least if Robles hits 8th and gets walked to get to the pitcher, he's somewhat likely to end up on 2nd at some point during the pitcher's at bat even without the pitcher getting him over.   I don't hate it, but i'm not really a fan.

I'm forgetting someone...  Autsen Williamson impressed in camp. James Borque is a young up-and-coming arm. 13 hours ago, @SkinsGoldPants said:  Remember the Nats did this with Riggles for a bit. This is probably a good thing. Baseball players are such creatures of habit. We raked when Dusty had a set lineup.

Baseball players are such creatures of habit. We raked when Dusty had a set lineup. This was my biggest pet peeve with Matt Williams, and with Davey last year. Having a different lineup every night, flipping the batting order around, and alternating between being an NL team (single, SB, bunt, sac fly) and an AL team (bloop and a blast). Find your lineup, and find your identity. Everybody knows you have a different lineup every now and then on getaway day, and it’s fine. But 9 out of 10 days, roll with your guys (obvious exception would be LH/RH matchup - like 1B with Zim and Adams). And then imprint your identity on the game. Don’t be a different team each night.
@DCGoldPants
Dusty did it also because he was constantly giving somebody a day off. So the BA moves around.
