I missed the news that Gallete is begging at the door again. He sure is trying hard. Think I'd actually throw him a bone, a very cheap one, at this stage once we have a roster place.

Galette is so interesting. He wanted on the team so badly last year and we said "just wait" and never got around to it. He still has limited tread given his time off for injuries and suspensions. As a pass-rushing specialist, I'd love to have him on the team next year, especially if we lose Preston, which I fully anticipate at this stage.

I feel like the Patriots are always spot-on with their FA signings. Never really any sexy ones outside of the occasional big name ... but they bring guys in that fit their scheme perfectly, and make them look really smart. Every year I'm like who the hell is that guy playing X for the Pats ... and look him up and he's some small FA signing. Idk. I would buy into that if the person making the decisions was intelligent.

There is zero chance Gillette comes back.

His latest attempt was met with a Redskin response saying, "Junior, we don't have room right now on our 90 man roster".

Think about that.

Not to mention, why would we want him back. He's not that good, he's older, and barely has played in 5 years or something. We Redskins fans really need to aim higher.

for a backup pass rushing LB who ideally would play like 20 to 30% of the snaps?

It is was zero chance, you'd just say "no we don't want you back".

although I really don't care either way about the guy being here or not

I think the JJ thing is a good sign, if we're gonna use two roster spots on Colt and JJ it makes me think we won't do something stupid like signing Dalton or Tanny.

I would love to see us just roll with JJ, Colt, and a late round pick, let's ride this crew to a top 3 pick in next years draft so we can get one of the 2 studs who will be available.

Still pass. He’s not that good. We don’t need guys that “almost” get the sack.

Absolutely! If these guys get Tannehill, I will be sick.

It's not a terrible plan, but not one I see the team ever making. They're trying to save their jobs, so they'll try and find someone a bit better. I highly doubt that's a rookie either, which means pretty blah options

Skins aren't going to tank.

They really want to know what they have in Jay, and know now, and the only way to do that is to give him both a talented and healthy roster in 2019.

They're going to try to win this year.

has Jay had a year with a mostly healthy team in his time here?

Best part is how he believes he should be the exception. Everyone else is making 75k but he wants 20 mil. He had a couple nfl teams inquire over the past couple years but he wanted too much money. He’s not worth that kind of money to any team much less us where we’re cap strapped
