Classy post.

Lets get this!

I'm voting blue no matter what. Biden is not the guy I wanted, but by no means do I think he would bad president. It makes me wonder how people could hate Hillary so much that they would vote for someone like Trump. I have no problem voting for him...I would have to vote drunk for Bloomberg.

As a Bernie supporter, Bernie is done. There is nothing wrong with that, this is a primary, there can be only one. Its March, no one NEEDS to drop out right now at all. If Bernie wants to stay in a while longer, let him. As long as he drops out before June, I don't care when he drops out.

Bernie supporters demanded that Warren drop out immediately after Super Tuesday.  Bernie is done, there is no reason for him to stay in, other than ego. Biden needs to be able to make the case against Trump for as long as possible, hopefully with Bernie’s sincere support.

What if people really really disliked Clinton? This has become surprising. Maybe there are more folks who simply really really dislike Don and want who they feel is the best chance to win.

I still think Trump will “grow into the job” and surround himself with the best people, who will reign in his worst instincts and help him to understand the gravity of the job.

Looks like Biden locked it up tonight.  He needs to find a way to bring Bernie’s people into the fold.  He can’t repeat the “Bernie Bros” finger wagging Hillary’s campaign did that alienated those people.  Bernie has a lot of support from young people and Biden needs them.

Yea, definitely Hillary’s fault those folks didn’t turn out. Do you even Twitter, bro?

As a progressive lefty I am still baffled how easily people seem to be scared out of voting for the issues they seem to be in favor of when asked about them outside of taking any specific candidate into consideration.  With that said, Bernie should call it a night, support Biden, and help get Trump the hell out of the White House.

There’s a very reasonable argument to be made that these red states weigh too heavily in these primaries.  I don’t care what color the voters are there, those states won’t be blue in the general.  Blue states and purple should matter a great deal more than southern red states.

Twitter doesn’t matter, there’s a tiny fraction of the population actively on that platform.  The media just likes to pretend it’s representative.

And it’s always a campaigns fault for failing to bring in supporters.  It’s what a campaign exists to do.  They compete for support, and last time around Hillary lost support that should have sided with democrats.  Democrats can’t afford to do that again.  The damage on Supreme Court appointees alone is massive.

Beating Trump means getting Black voters out and crushing in the suburbs with college-educated women and center-right moderates, i.e. how the midterms were won in 2018. I don't see how placating Bernie Bros helps with that.

This isn't 2016 and Joe Biden isn't Hillary Clinton. The game has changed.

Twitter is a tiny fraction of the population, but it can be very representative, especially among activists, and especially among young people.

Sanders’ hardcore people are not Democrats, and a lot of them were not gettable voters for Clinton. Bernie’s halfassed support was a big factor.  If they don’t come out again, it will again be the Sanders campaigns fault.

Agree that the SCOTUS alone is reason enough to vote against Trump, especially with RBG on her last legs. Go ahead and make that argument to a 22 year old white male socialist and see how far you get.

As a Bernie (but not Bernie or bust) supporter myself, almost every reason I gave to them to vote for Biden if he was the nominee was soundly ignored or rejected...........until I brought up the Supreme Court issue and how in the next 4 years it is very likely at least 2 judges will be replaced.  That actually stopped them in their tracks and they back-tracked.  They didn't 100% commit to vote for Biden right at that moment, but that was the issue that finally got them to realize that even milk toast Dem establishment candidates are a much better alternative to Trump.

The conventional wisdom I have seen in the past is that the issue of  Supreme Court appointees is much more motivating to conservatives than to liberals.  It can be a catch 22 for Democrats to emphasize the courts.  At least that's what a lot of the pundits have claimed in the past.

One would hope that explaining to them that losing the RBG seat for a generation to a Kavanaugh type would prevent any aspect of Bernie’s platform from surviving a legal challenge for the next 30 years would be a slam dunk. I’m pretty skeptical.

If they lose this election, there will be a 7-2 conservative majority for the next 30 years at least. If that isnt motivation to get their ass to the booth and do what needs to be done, nothing else will. All the future progressive policies in the world wont matter with a 7-2 majority
