Chew
Congressional Record transcript of the Senator from Alabama, Jeff Sessions, arguing that President Clinton could indeed be impeached and removed from office for 'obstruction of justice': https://www.congress.gov/congression...s%22%5D%7D&r=1His opening statement: "Mr. President, the Constitution of the United States requires the Senate to convict and remove the President of the United States if it is proven that he has committed high crimes while in office. It has been proven beyond a reasonable doubt and to a moral certainty that President William Jefferson Clinton has persisted in a continuous pattern to lie and obstruct justice. The chief law officer of the land, whose oath of office calls on him to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution, crossed the line and failed to protect the law, and, in fact, attacked the law and the rights of a fellow citizen. Under our Constitution, such acts are high crimes and equal justice requires that he forfeit his office. For these reasons, I felt compelled to vote to convict and remove the President from office."
twa
The difference is between being judged in the courts or by Congress Only the latter is not a problem add probably best to use convicted instead of judged for proper nuance Edited December 5, 2017 by twa

I mean - as we get up high enough in our political structure does it even matter? Republican white house + republican senate + republican judges = republicans can literally do whatever the hell they want. And they are going to. Dems are to lazy(?) to do anything about it and the people are too stupid to care. At this point, law or regulation matters little. I cant tell if we are talking about the same thing or not btw lol

That’s the difference between an investigation with integrity and the GOP/Trump-train. They fire someone ONLY it is revealed to the world that they are in league with Russians and lied to the FBI. Mueller finds impropriety and he fires the guy and THEN it becomes news. That’s how integrity works. But I wouldn’t expect the Right to know anything about that, they surrendered it too long ago.

Just because Mueller fired someone who expressed anti-Trump bias? Donald Trump has fired lots of people who expressed anti-Trump bias. How come you're not giving him any credit for that? I swear, watching you dems lose your mind over every little thing (like the country intentionally electing obvious liars, pedophiles, and a gallery of the most disgusting individuals ever to be squeezed out of a human vagina) brings me to a shivering orgasm.
