I heard that Preet Bharara NPR segment on the way into work this AM, and listened again earlier when I saw that tweet. Interesting that he basically says not to assume that Flynn only being charged with lying to the FBI necessarily means he's 100% got dirt to take other people down. He also said it was not normal for Flynn to not initially be charged with everything they could, and it's possible that's all they have. Basically, a 'nobody really knows other than Mueller's team and Flynn'.

All may be true, but the President's teams reaction wtih new positions of "Flynn was fired because he lied to the FBI" and "the President can't obstruct justice" would seem to suggest they expect some damning testimony from Flynn.

I thought Bharara's comments were interesting because he doesn't normally mince words, in my limited exposure to listening to him on Trump matters. Think that's the lawyer in him viewing things as they stand right now, and going by the book, which he should. The host even thanked him for saying 'I don't know'.

Oh you’ve had plenty of practice doing that. I imagine last November was a major breakthrough for you on that front.

Not really, my expectation was Hillary would win.

Maybe she should have lowered hers. :)

Then “Oops! He won” and you helped. But then you tried to wash your guilty hands by “giving permission” to your representatives to abandon that which you supported.

I bet they all jumped at the newly found freedom that you granted.

Hardly a oops given the options.

I do tend to upgrade when possible :ols:

So you still believe that electing a Russian sell-out and sympathizer was your best option.

Fools and damn fools.

Meanwhile Trump believed McGahn because Trump told Flynn to contact the Russians.

The only people who believe otherwise are fools.

This is what sucks:

Nothing is going to happen because the Republicans are in control of congress.

Oh, something will happen if you give them a good excuse/reason.

Kinda light in that dept so far.

any good lawyer would tell him to take the Hillary.

Can't recall, won't answer ,I'll get back to ya......yada,yada

I'm sure they could charge him with a FARA violation or such....but can you think of a serious charge?

Or why they would not charge if they had one?

it is the 'round up the usual suspects and lean on your sources' gambit from what I've seen....despite some in the press and here hyperventilating over it.

does suck for those being rousted though :chair:

You are tiresome.  but your stamina is amazing.....

you are the energizer bunny/viagra/crystal meth troll.

**  warning, your teeth may fall out.  In addition,  you should contact your doctor immediately when annoying troll rants that last more than 24 hours, as they may result in your **** turning blue, and falling off.

You’re so full of **** I can smell it from here!

The GOP aren’t going to do anything because he provides them political cover and he’s their useful idiot. If you think tbey’re going to grow a conscience before their do e legislating their corporatist agenda then you’re high.

You are leaving out many dislike him, but they certainly will play the cards dealt and await a better hand.

Because Pence was caught publicly in an untrue statement.   The options at that point were admit that Pence knowingly issued a public lie, or have Flynn fall on his sword for the #2 person in the administration.

Im not sure it would matter anyway but that is big news to me. I knew he was lying, I just didn't expect we would be able to actually prove it.

ask him what he had for breakfast this AM and he'll lie because it was probably 6 McMuffins and 4 diet cokes.
