The fact that rich investors are eagerly buying up low priced homes, thus

1) Driving up entry properties to prices that entry buyers can't buy.

2)  Allowing them to rent said properties (at prices they have driven up) to people who used to be first time buyers.

Might be a factor, too

Duo Busted For Sex In Front Of Popeyes

A couple was arrested Saturday afternoon for having sex on the sidewalk in front of a Popeyes, in plain view of passing motorists, Florida police charge.

Responding to a report of lewd behavior, a sheriff’s deputy located two suspects trysting on a patch of grass across from the Vero Beach restaurant (which is directly adjacent to U.S. Highway 1).

According to arrest reports, the cop spotted Arnold Mackey, 70, “making a thrusting motion while on top of” April White, 44. When confronted by Deputy Eric Brashears around 2 PM, the duo began “adjusting their shorts.”

Mackey, the cop noted, “appeared flustered” and was unable to “fully pull his shorts up which left his penis fully exposed to oncoming traffic.”

Claiming she had done nothing wrong, White reportedly struggled with the cop and called him a “faggot” and other obscenities as he sought to restrain her. White, who smelled of alcohol, was “escorted” to the ground (where police found four empty bottles of vodka and an unopened bottle of rum).

Woman claims "God" directed her to shoot cars on I-10 in Florida during eclipse

Florida Highway Patrol Troopers responded to a report of an active shooter in Holmes County. The suspect was reportedly a female who had recently checked out of a local hotel and told the staff she was going on a shooting spree, directed by “God” in relation to the solar eclipse.

The suspect, driving a purple Dodge Challenger with Georgia plates, entered Interstate 10 (I-10) at the 112-mile marker and traveled westbound.

Within 5 miles of entering the interstate, the suspect fired multiple shots into another vehicle traveling along the interstate, striking the passing car multiple times.

The driver was struck by glass fragments from the window and grazed on the arm by a bullet; however, he was able to steer his vehicle onto the shoulder of the road, away from the suspect.

Continuing westbound on I-10, the suspect shot at another vehicle near the 107- mile marker, hitting the driver in the neck. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and is currently receiving treatment.

Responding Troopers located the suspect near the 96- mile marker and conducted a felony traffic stop. After the suspect was taken into custody, troopers recovered an AR-15 and a 9mm handgun within the purple Challenger.

Man Nabbed For Fried Chicken Battery On Sister

A 20-year-old man is behind bars, charged with launching a fried chicken fusillade at his sister during a domestic clash in the Florida residence they share, police allege.

According to investigators, the poultry pelting occurred Sunday afternoon in the Clearwater home of Khanye Medley and his sibling.

During a “verbal altercation,” Medley grabbed a bag of Church’s Chicken from his sister and began throwing pieces of chicken at her. “One piece of fried chicken hit the victim in the back and left debris of food on her shoulders,” a patrolman reported.

After being read his rights, Medley reportedly admitted throwing two pieces of chicken, “one of which hit her.”

The motive for the chicken winging? Medley “stated he did this because he had not eaten and did not want the piece of chicken the victim offered him so he became upset.”

Florida HOA president pulls gun on 3 kids fishing at lake before throwing tackle into woods: court docs

A Palm Bay, Florida Homeowners Association board member was arrested last month after allegedly pulling a gun on three kids fishing at a lake in his subdivision, taking their equipment and throwing the rods, reels and tackle into the woods, according to court documents.

Police charged 57-year-old Kyle Patrick Tate with criminal mischief and grand theft as a result of the incident.

A court affidavit filed in Brevard County, Florida alleges that on April 14, officers with the Palm Bay Police Department were dispatched to a suspicious incident at Stillwater Lakes, a subdivision owned and managed by an HOA.

Yeah, and the value of the stuff the guy took was estimated at $3700.  So on average each kid was walking around with over $1200 worth of gear?  Sure.

Jail For Man In Pink Dildo Domestic Attack

An ex-con has been convicted of attacking his girlfriend with a pink dildo after she derided him as a “limp dick” in need of Viagra, according to court records.

Steven Nurdin, 38, pleaded no contest Friday to a domestic battery charge stemming from a violent confrontation earlier this year in the Florida residence he shared with the 37-year-old victim.

According to a police report, the victim told cops she was arguing with Nurdin about their relationship when she declared that he needed an erectile dysfunction medication to address his sexual shortcomings.

Nurdin, she said, became irate and retrieved the sex toy from a bedroom shelf and shoved the item into her mouth. He also punched her in the eye, the woman said.

HOA’s are a pain in the ass.

We got a nasty gram from the HOA telling us to mow lawn a couple of weeks after moving in, here in Palm Bay. The builders told us to wait a month before cutting the new lawn.

This ****head pulled a gun on an Uber driver who dropped his 13 year old daughter who had snuck out. Made him lay face down in n his driveway. Now, he’s playing the sympathy card because evidently you can’t do that even if you are in Florida and have previously served.

Astro Skate Brandon fight: Video shows violence leading to dozens of arrests

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has released social media and bodycam videos showing the large gathering in Brandon that erupted into a fight causing damage to multiple businesses on Saturday night.

Deputies arrested a total of 23 juveniles and six adults after responding to Astro Skate off West Robinson Street.

HCSO says a crowd of about 400–500 people gathered in the area when the fight began.

"I'm utterly outraged by that type of behavior. It is anarchy. It is chaos," said HCSO Chief Deputy Joseph Maurer. "This disruptive, chaotic behavior that affects the safety of our community has no bearing here. This is unwarranted. This will not be tolerated."

Social media videos from witnesses provided to FOX 13 by the sheriff's office show repeated punching and hair pulling, along with a teenager getting beaten and kicked through a window at Time Out Barbershop off Brandon Boulevard. Deputies said damage at that business alone totaled $1,200.

HCSO says the person was injured at the barber shop went to the hospital with a severe cut on his hand.

There was also about $500 worth of damage reported at a nearby 7-Eleven, according to the sheriff's office.

Deputies say it all began after a planned after-party was canceled by Astro Skate because the host group did not hire an off-duty deputy for security, which the business requires.

According to Maurer, people associated with the party went on social media and urged people to go to the business anyway, riot and confront law enforcement.
