SkinInsite
You kind of expect that when most of the "top" player decided to take the easy money in MLS instead of fighting for a place in top league in Europe.

And what I meant was the other nations have gotten better than they were even 5 years ago. Its undeniable at this point. The US have only been a consensus 1a/1b power in this region the last 10 years. We used to struggle to qualify as well The US are in a down period in terms of talent right now. AsburySkinsFan
Soccer in America... Atlanta United's match against Orlando. The "official" attendance figures for last night's Packers game said 70,826 but in watching that game there were a ton of empty seats. It certainly looked like more people at the United game.
Gibbs Hog Heaven
What a mad set of video boards hanging over midfield there. Hail.

That's "The Halo", the roof above it opens too. Pretty sweet if you ask me, my son and I have adopted Atlanta as "our" MLS team, started at the beginning of the season this year. I've never been able to find a squad that suited me in the MLS so with the expansion and ATL only being 6 hours away...why not? Looks like they're going to make the post season especially if they keep up their win streak. Not a bad innagural season, and now a massive new home to play in. Gibbs Hog Heaven
For a modern-day stadium Asb, which are usually generic, fugly, soulless things that look like they've just been dropped on a City, that does look pretty inventive and well done looking at the seat layout on top of the field. Hope you get the opportunity to take your boy at some point. Hail.
AsburySkinsFan
I totally agree, but then for a billion+ dollars I guess you can afford the soul. Edited September 18, 2017 by AsburySkinsFan

Long n Left
Uninspiring group Arena chose for these next two big games. All the same old clowns. Beasley? Wondo? Fielhaber? Really?
FanboyOf91
Beasley playing in a World Cup at his age would be disheartening, and probably leads to an early exit out of the group stages.

Not to mention the lack of quality caps the youngsters are afforded. This group is going nowhere even if they qualify. Arena should be grooming talent for 2022 NOW! Not surprising though, as US Soccer has always been short sighted.
ixcuincle
I agree we need to play a lot of the younger talent because the old guys can't carry the weight anymore Just realized the Panama game is Friday which is the same day as Game

Fergasun
Let me predict: Dempsey and Pulisic have to be huge.... or World Cup is over. I dont see anyone else stepping up.... this team is desperate, but doesnt gel.. Pullisic seems frustrated at talent drop from club team..
Skin'emAlive
DeMarcus ****ing Beasley was just called up... I'm ready for this team to burn. I might even actively root for it if it meant that the moron president would be sacked, and Micheal Bradley would be left to fend off a flock of scarlet ibis on the shores of Trinidad & Tobago. 2
JSSkinz
Lots of pressure on the team tonight, a loss will probably knock us out of the WC.

FanboyOf91
Pulisic is already the best player in USMNT history.
