FYI...our next THREE opponents are coming off games with extra rest.

Week 12:

Raiders get 10 days off, Washington gets 6 plus cross country travel

Week 13:

Dallas gets 10 days off, Washington gets 7

Week 14:

Philadelphia gets 14 days off, Washington gets 7.

Kudos to @Wildbunny for this article.  I didn't realize how bad the schedule really was!

Quote

In last week's win over Las Vegas, Washington had to fly to the West Coast after playing Monday night. Long flight on a short week, something in general the NFL tries to avoid. Still, it happened.

Not only that, but the Raiders were coming off an extended break as they had played the previous Thursday on Thanksgiving.

Keeping score, Washington had five days between games. Vegas had nine.

It doesn't end there.

This week Washington faces a major division matchup against the Cowboys. Guess the last time Dallas played? Last Thursday.

When the two squads meet at FedEx Field this Sunday, Washington will have a standard six days between games.

Dallas will have nine.

Surely that's where the impropriety stops.

Nope.

When Washington faces the Eagles next week on the road, Philadelphia will be coming off its bye week. Seriously.

Washington will be coming off six days rest and the Eagles won't have played a game in two weeks.

Add up the rest days from these three games and the results are staggering - Washington will play three games with 17 days in between.

In that same timeframe their opponents will have played three games with 31 days in between. Not to mention two of the three games are on the road.

Ouch. The DPI on WJ3 and running into the kicker call are especially bad to me. That is PERFECT coverage by WJ3. And if you're going to call the late hit on Ioannidis you have to call the two on Dallas that weren't called.

Especially because those two calls would probably swing the game in our favor

With the news of Brian Robinson getting shot just after winning the starting role, here is some chilling foreshadowing from Commanders training camp.

The speaker, a veteran whose legs were taken from him, literally says "right when you get real close to getting what you deserve, something is going to happen to make you wait it out a bit..."

Robinson, wearing number 8, is front and center...

The NFL does not want the Snyder story to continue into the post season.  By costing them the game this week, they guaranteed a playoff berth for Jerry Jones and the Cowboys, and helped ensure the large NY market will be engaged in postseason for first time in 6 years.

Ratings above all.

Watching the illegal formation call video @Reaper Skins posted, it looks like Terry checked with the ref. When the ref pointed, his arm is at and angle vs. the line of scrimmage and Terry moves up to where the ref is pointing. Seems like it was some kind of miscommunication and Terry thought he was ok.

The frustrating thing about this penalty is it had nothing to do with the play.

People forget that Washington beat Philly because of a missed face mask call.  Bad officiating is part of the game.

That missed call was nowhere near as impactful as the end of last night's. Not even close to the same level of magnitude.

I disagree.  That non/call came at a crucial time in the Eagles game.   Plus, even if Washington gets the PI call, they have to still score the TD, get the 2 point conversion, and then try to win in OT.

But we'll agree to disagree.

Eh, Eagles benefited in that game on a bogus 30 yard PI call that set up a TD.

But, you’re right that they’d still have to punch it in, convert the two, and not give up a FG with about a 50 seconds left.

If they did punch it in, they would have been flagged again.  Or if they converted the two points, they’d take it off the board like they did earlier in the game.

I didn’t see all the games this weekend, but I know the Patriots got hosed on they tying TD.  It’s just a bad look for the league.
