Vladimir Putin is intent on weakening the United States. He authorized an operation to help elect a grifting pathological liar and sociopath as President, so he’s well on his way. Don’t help him by giving ANY legitimacy to his propaganda arm. Use different sources.

OK, I get you. I will wait and try and get other sources for the same videos.

Lake County Deputy Shot Unarmed Woman, Lied About It, Feds Say

Deputy Robert Palmer, 58, is facing charges of unreasonable use of force and making false statements, says a news release by Assistant Attorney General Eric Dreiband of the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division and the FBI's Jacksonville office.

The indictment alleges Palmer shot and injured a woman while on duty October 11, 2016. The Sheriff's Office in a statement issued Wednesday said the shooting happened during a traffic stop.

Federal prosecutors say that during the encounter, the woman's hands were visible and empty, though Palmer claimed that the woman's left hand was in her pocket, and when she pulled it out, he saw a dark object in it.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement originally investigated the shooting, sent a report to the State Attorney's Office, and a grand jury cleared Palmer, the Sheriff's Office said. But soon after, federal officials stepped in and began an investigation into possible civil rights violations.

Palmer resigned today after learning of the indictment, the Sheriff's Office said.

How does this guy still have a job?

No doubt there's a procedure, negotiated with the union, that's being followed.

Just as civilians accused of a crime are entitled to due process, so should accused officers be.

Now, if due process doesn't result in jail time?  Then I think we're entitled to complain.

'Most humiliating experience of my life:' Black North Carolina man after false burglar alarm

An African-American homeowner says he endured the "most humiliating experience of my life" when white police officers answered a false burglar alarm at his North Carolina home and ended up placing him in handcuffs at gunpoint and walking him to a police car in just his underwear as his neighbors watched.

"I was counting the seconds because I thought he was going to kill me," Kazeem Oyeneyin, 31, told ABC News on Saturday of the confrontation with police at his home in Raleigh. "He was shaking the gun. All he has to do is slip and hit that trigger and I'm dead."

Raleigh police official said the incident is under investigation.

"The Department is looking into this incident and reviewing our officers' actions," Raleigh police said in a statement to ABC station WTVD in Durham, North Carolina. "We have attempted to contact the homeowner several times over the past few days to discuss this incident with him."

It just boggles my mind in that situation.  It seems like it would be pretty easy to determine whether the guy was the homeowner or at least resident of the house without cuffing/detaining/walking him to the police car.   How about the old fashioned way, as neighbors were beginning to crowd around and watch the incident, open your mouth as an officer and ask some of them if they recognize the guy.

I don't fault an officer for showing up in that situation, but it just seems like things escalate for no reason.

Dude actually went up to a civilian and attacked him and still the officer wouldnt do anything. Yea thats wild. We got video of that woman and her children getting a gun pulled on them for shoplifting but this guy is free to attack the public with a police escort.

Yea if thats not privilege than it doesnt exist.

More on the naked guy. He's the suspect in the murder of three family members of a Tamp Bay Rays baseball prospect:

An 18-year-old man reportedly accused of killing the family of a minor league pitcher in a triple homicide was arrested Tuesday following an hours-long manhunt that culminated in police chasing the naked suspect through the streets of a southern Virginia town.

Matthew Thomas Bernard was charged with three counts of first-degree murder, WDBJ reported. Pittsylvania County Sheriff Mike Taylor declined to identify the victims, but ESPN reported that they were the wife, son and mother-in-law of Blake Bivens, a 24-year-old pitcher for the Montgomery Biscuits, the Class AA affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays.

On Tuesday, the Biscuits announced they were canceling a doubleheader “due to a tragic event within the Biscuits family.” The team’s CEO and managing owner, Lou DiBella, later shared a statement, writing that Bivens had “suffered unimaginable loss.”

The victims were the suspect's mother, sister, and nephew.

And the cops handled this correctly so wrong thread, IMO.

Macing and batoning instead of shooting a clearly unarmed naked guy = white privilege? You're seeing what you want to see bro

No you are misinterpreting what he was saying.  He is not suggesting the guy should have been shot, he is saying that you have a triple homicide suspect, acting a fool, charging at officers, attacking other civilians, all in real time.....yet the officers somehow don't deem him an immediate threat, nor do they "fear for their lives" enough to ever consider lethal force.    Which is fine, probably good.......the problem is in cases involving......"other people" you have officers pulling weapons and shooting a suspect over a lot less and claiming they were in fear for their life so they had no choice.

The statement wasn't "shoot this guy" it was perhaps, exercise this restraint and judgement on "other people" too.

You had cops pull guns and threaten a pregnant mom because her child accidentally walked out of a store with an item.

Is the choke hold allowed in Illinois?  That’s the only thing that stands out about that video.  If you resist arrest (and he is resisting) cops will tase you, or even just punch you in the face until you comply.

If the choke hold isn't allowed that cop should be punished.  He choked that guy out on camera.

I'm lumping prison guards in with cops because I don't want another depressing thread about just how disappointing the US justice system is.  Look at this ****:

https://denver.cbslocal.com/2019/08/29/diana-sanchez-denver-jail-labor-birth/

Quote

Newman’s law firm provided edited surveillance video that shows Sanchez’s struggle throughout the morning of July 31, 2018. It shows Sanchez in pain and at one point being handed an absorbent pad. At 10:44 a.m., she gave birth and soon a nurse and deputy walked into the medical unit she was being held in.

“We’re talking about well over five hours that she was in hard labor yelling for help and screaming in pain and they simply failed to take her to the hospital. The idea that a human being could be treated in this way is it’s really unfathomable,” Newman said

Denver Health provides medical care for inmates at Denver jails. The hospital released a statement that read, “Denver Health provides high quality medical care to thousands of inmates every year. Our patients are our number one priority and we make every effort to ensure they receive the proper care. As this is a pending legal matter we are not able to comment at this time.”

Unlike with a certain high profile inmate we're all aware of, this woman had a camera in her cell and so there's really no question that what is being claimed here is true.  She went into labor for five hours and then gave birth all by herself.

US prisons are an embarrassment.  This is yet another example of US prison personnel displaying an evident lack of humanity.
