Gonna cook pizza on the smoker tonight using a recipe for DC's Gentlemen Jim's/Cavalier pizza.

I put it on a bit too early - grill was at 545 degrees. I need to get it to 650 next time. Bottom was brown & crispy but the edges didn't get enough color. Swiss cheese, parmesan cheese, with some smoked kielbasa.

I'm thinking of making some baked eggs combo in the muffin tin that holds six. Wednesday is Social Security day, so it's off to the store for more staples. My daughter's stores have instituted over 65 and persons with disabilities days on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the morning before opening.

They're doing that here too. I am curious to see how that is enforced.

I'm glad that localities are taking care of certain people. Some stores have also placed limits on certain items. I haven't been in a store for about three weeks so interested to see what's going on. My daughter can bring me things if necessary.

I didn't make baked eggs, made toad in the hole. Down to my last half dozen eggs. Tomorrow's breakfast might be Cream of Rice cereal.

Roasted a chicken today.  I've been watching Bon Appetit videos.  I think next time I cook a chicken I'm going to try spatch****ing it.

Splatch****ing is an interesting technique. Ina Garten shows how to prep the chicken, then she grills it. Looks delicious!

That's the only way I bbq whole chicken. It cooks a lot faster and more evenly.

I would do for the Thanksgiving turkey too, but Mrs. Skinsfan likes how the traditional bird looks.

Scored this beast at Costco.  They must've mismarked it. Anytime you see a prime whole brisket for $3.39lb, you pounce! They had a few of them, but there's no room left in our freezers. 😤

If you're local, BWI area, it's the Costco next to Maryland Live casino. They had plenty of TP too.

I have never heard of this technique.  I am going to try it next time I can find a whole chicken.

This week, our big food adventure was gumbo. My wife makes awesome gumbo.  2D2C028A-7B57-4A91-9518-041605A2C377.thumb.jpeg.c718499fadb8ab28ee50543089b573ba.jpeg
