Xbox One Vs Ps4

Good points about fitting it all in and bringing closure.

All I know is I almost lost Grunt or Runt or whatever his name was in 3 and almost smashed my 360 over it. He made it which I'm not sure is guaranteed or not but damn I practically sent him to his death and was sitting there mourning the loss when he came back busting onto the scene for more. What a moment

Yeah I remember that. I was really depressed at first when I thought he was dead, even though he was really going out with style. But then when I saw him emerge alive all bloody I was sooo happy.

That's what I love about Mass Effect. You really grow to love the characters. When Solus and Legion died(essentially sacrificing themselves)in 3 I nearly shed a tear. And when you reunite with Garrus in 2, I was sooo excited, like as if I was meeting a long lost friend after many years.

I know, it was great. That feeling in games is rare and ME2 and 3 by the nature of the mission, rounding up the troops to face this massive threat made it even better as you remembered and really wanted these guys.

Spoilers

I don't remember who I lost in 3 aside from Mordin Solus and Thane which wasn't a player choice. I think I lost Legion too in order to save all the Geth. Mordin really got me, I loved that dude there was just nothing that could be done. He sacrificed himself in my game. It was rough.

Only other death I remember in the series for sure was Kaiden in 1. He was completely worthless to me so I sent him to death with a smile and wink to Ashley along the way, went back to the ship and ate cookies.

Just started destiny because I got it for $15

I'll give you the same advice I've given others...

Don't let the reviews of some sway you. The game is amazing BUT, you have to have a group of people to play with.  It is not a game that you will enjoy playing solo.  The raids are by far the most fun.  Once you get to level 20, it really gets interesting.

I actually enjoy solo missions from time to time, but need to find some people to help with the raids.

I like doing stuff solo as well, but the Raids and in general, the interaction with my friends I've met through the game are what keep me addicted to it.

You on PS4?  I'd be glad to help.  code0rama on PSN, the 0 is a zero.

I have three characters and do the raids with each one as well as the nightfalls and weekly.

I also just got Destiny for PS4 and I'm having a blast with it. Not sure what all the negative reviews were about. Sure, the storyline sucks and doesn't make much sense but the game play is fantastic. I'm working on my first guy, Level 19 Titan. I've found pvp to really help in leveling up quickly. My PSN ID is : LEED3D if anyone wants to add me!

I know the reviews were more towards the negative, but I am really enjoying the Order at the moment. The next few months are going to be good for games. Plan to pick up Bloodborne, Mortal Kombat X, and Batman: Arkham Knight.

Batman from the trailers so far, looks like a strong GOTY candidate.

Word. No one likes Kaiden. Even Fem Shepard players have a hard time choosing him over an obviously hetero Ashley.

Ashley had the edge over him in combat by an absurd degree, and he was just an okay biotic. Nothing special, at least compared to the other 3 characters you encounter. So he had to go. Didn't even think about it. Plus, letting the woman live is the gentlemanly thing to do...

Thanks dude! I'm on Xbox One and bought it due to some friends talking me into it so I only play when they get on. So far it's been a lot of fun although my rank is pretty low (5).

Destiny tips for the noobs:  (other vets please add more, I'm no expert)

TO Level up:

Do the bounties each day, avoid the ones that take too long. When you do patrol missions, pay attention to the symbols over the green flashing lights: Triangles are missions where you kill and pick up items, a square with 4 small squares around it are kill missions.  These two are usually the easiest and fastest. Sometimes, I go back to orbit and let them refresh if I get a bad draw and there are more travel and scan missions.

Do the story missions with a higher level friend.  They can do the bulk of the work and you can get faster experience.

PVP also helps you level up fast.

When you turn in bounties, pay attention to what guns you have equipped. you will get experience to them when you turn in the bounties.

Make friends.  This is the best advice I can give.  Everything is easier with friends, and more fun.

Cool. Mine is Xam333. most of my Killzone clan friends and teammates haven't gotten the PS4 yet, or have stuck with Killzone

Add me Asap. I'm a killzone guy first, before any other fps. All the way back to killzone 2.

Matt-chew82. I'll add you tonight, I'm down for some shadow fall.

Hope my COD bros don't see this....

A lot of people feel that way. Shadowfall stays true to its roots back to KZ2. much slower gameplay than cod and Battlefield, and big ass maps like Battlefield but without vehicles.

One thing Killzone got right was putting 5 different game modes into one match. Often times lasting an hour plus, you'd play domonation, team deathmatch, demolition, capture the flag, assasination...all in one game. The Action never stopped. After one team won domination, there would be a 15 second break between rounds, then the next game type started. You could still run around the map and get kills between game modes. It was so epic.

I loved shadowfall, but none of my, buddies played it so I put it down to play Battlefield 4

I love having all the game modes in 1 match. I like KZ3 a little more then 4, but still love playing it. KZ3 in 3D was AWESOME.

That was one if the things I liked about destiny. It was more KZ then it was BF.

Lol btw...I'm already on your friends list. I see you playing BF4 right now...lol

Speaking of multiplayer, I'd advise PFChang to play it some when he gets to Mass Effect 3. It helps your Galactic Readiness and Effective Military Strength.

Yes, the game is essentially forcing you to play multiplayer. Not doing it can result in unintended consequences in the games final moments, unless you have a near perfect run through all 3 games (every battle, every decision). And even then, you will leave with that feeling you get after really bad sex. I bet they thought they were really smart doing that.

I'm sure it didn't dawn on them that games stand the test of time. I can imagine some poor soul playing ME3 like 30 years from now (while everyone else is playing PS12) and getting pissed that he has to play multiplayer, and its a dry, barren desert. They really screwed their fanbase with that ending

But what about "artistic integrity" or artistic expression", whatever stupid nonsense excuse they made to defend that crap. They looked at how long it would take to develop real multiple endings for a game with so many decisions and just put their hand down and folded. I'm 95% certain that galactic readiness BS was EA's idea. They have to force multiplayer into every single game they publish.

I heard stories about kz3 in 3d. Sounds sexy, I've never seen it. I liked 3 as well, but would always get stuck with randoms against a clan and get whooped repeatedly. Got old fast. I haven't played kz4 in maybe 6 months, but I'm itching to fire it up.

Duh, my bad. I thought your name looked familiar. Wife is at home today, she better not be playing Battlefield on my name!
