This is turning into a ****ing beatdown.  Reminds me of that one Bulls/Jazz game in the finals where the Bulls just annihilated the Jazz on a historic level.  This isn't on that level but the Bucks are making a statement here.

I read somewhere earlier that whatever fancy advanced metrics that basketball people are looking at these days...the metrics said that the Bucks weren't out of the first two games by much.  And thats with Holiday and Middleton playing like ass.

Five fouls damn.  He's gonna have to sit.

They need at least one of them not to completely suck on offense.  They can’t beat the Suns if both of them forget how to shoot.

Both are glorified role players who make sense in the scheme of Milwaukee (apparently Bobby Portis does too) where Giannis's dominance is the foundation for the success.  The problem is they are only reliable at home.

This feels like it could be a chalky 7 game series where the home team wins every game.

It took a  bit for the Bucks to adjust to the Suns going small but once they did there was no stopping Giannis. This series remains about Middleton and Holiday. Middleton still hasn't had a good offensive game. Bucks can still win the series if he really gets going.

Still blown away by how well this Phoenix team came together.  I remember a couple of years ago when Booker was trying to court KAT to force his way to Phoenix and thinking to myself, "why, so they can play 50 loss basketball together?"

CP3 and Ayton are the keys.  That elite PG/C combination is the entire foundation for their defense, which is how they became a championship caliber team.  Plus it's a high quality offensive foundation too.  Guys like Cam Johnson and Jae Crowder and Mikal Bridges are superb role players who make big 2 way contributions to championship caliber teams, but can't make a dent on wins and losses on their own and bounce around the league endlessly when they are on bad teams.  And Devin Booker is like Brad Beal and Kyrie Irving and Damian Lillard.  An absolute luxury who will never lead a team to contention on his own simply because he makes no impact as a defender or rebounder.  But put a championship caliber foundation in place around him and that team will go from lottery team to contender because he can power an offense by himself through a deep playoff run.  The difference in quality between him and a lesser "bucket-getter" like Middleton is really big.

Put Beal or Lillard on Utah or Philly (or sub Middleton out for one of them in Milwaukee) and they would have a similar role and impact as Booker in Phoenix and those would be championship caliber teams.

There's a certain ... *checks notes* ... coach missing  🤔

Coach K also lost once. But not sure if he'd have this "3 point shooter" roster or "iso ball".

This roster is the epitome of the current NBA just jacking up 3s all day. The Warriors team international.
