Far too much hero ball let the nuggets back into two games. There’s a time for hero ball in the playoffs, and really you can’t win without it, but if you rely on it for long stretches against a team getting easy assisted baskets the point swings are huge. The Lakers don’t need to worry about Jokic scoring on his defender, they have more than enough fire power to counter that. What the Lakers need to do is stop the Nuggets from running that one offensive set they used to kill the Clippers: Murray and Jokic high pick n roll, leading to Jokic with the ball around the free throw line looking to pass or Murray with a good look from three. How many games did their starting lineup play together? There is no real bond as you can tell. They felt that they could just turn it on any given night. Also Lakers in 6.
