Ellis
40 degrees here in Annapolis. It appears there is some sleet or freezing rain mixing in with the heavy rain. I'd say 10% sleet. I assume this is probably the beginning of the change over to colder air moving east of DC. TIME TO GET THE CROCKPOT GOING. CHILI TIME!!
RedskinsCountry
Yeah I'm calling this storm a bust for me. Seems like everyone around me has 3 inches or more, my roads are just slushy. Oh well, got me a day off so I can't be too upset, but needless to say I was ready to enjoy some snow.
GibbsFactor
I'm in Kingstown (near Springfield mall) and it's been coming down like crazy since I got up. roads are covered. Probably 2.5 to 3 inches everywhere.

I think a number of folks thought this, went into the office but unless they head home before too long they may have a very unpleasant return trip. Tom [Giants fan]
If this was in February or overnight it'd be a different story. This is what may get Long Island its snow. This is going to be happening mostly overnight tonight. Temps around freezing and heavy, big snowflakes expected.
Ellis
Random snowflakes starting. Temp dropped from 40 to 38.

the burgundy and gold
no snow here in Alexandria. Rained all night but looking out my window I don't see any snow at all.
Unforgiven
I'm in Luray and I have 9" on my deck so far and it's coming down pretty good at the moment, fairly windy also.
RWJ
Here in North Cental WV it started snowing last night around 11pm and quit about 7am or so. We ended up with about 1 1/2 to 2 inches on cars/grassy surfaces. Might get some wrap around snow showers thoughout the day. Can some of you post some pictures. ixcuincle
http://twitter.com/BrittMcHenry/statuses/309344957741821952 With all this hype about snow, I've seen nothing but rain.
Mark The Homer
I have about 3 inches on the ground - but to be fair, it's melting so fast, it might have been more. It's just so warm. Everything is wet. Pavement is still slushy at best. There is no freezing out here at all. Still snowing fairly hard but it's just not cold. spjunkies
Definite bust in DC.... I should've stuck with my original forecast.
TheGoodBits
It's been snowing consistently since I got out of bed at 8, but my deck has actually lost a bit of snow over the past hour or so due to either melting or compacting.

Im in Winchester, we have between 4 to maybe 6 right now, roads are fine. Hasnt been very bad.
Mark The Homer
I just checked the temp... it's just a hair over 32. That's quite a drop because it was 40 at dawn. No freezing here yet.
renaissance
This is so depressing because it's snowing like mad, just not sticking to anything. Glad to have the day off from work though!

Tom [Giants fan]
The problem for you guys is you are getting the brunt of it during the day. In March, that is not good if you want accumulating snow.
Mark The Homer
Another point - where is all the wind? It's barely breezy here. It is supposed to be blowing steady at 25 mph right now. Really? Where?
