elkabong82
Glad he's retiring as a Skin, and I imagine he'll make the 80 greatest list as well.
flexxskins
I gotta watch just to make sure that it's truly him that's retiring and not "Kid Bro Sweets".

santana_4_prez
Clinton Portis is one of our all time great players. He gave us his all under Gibbs even though he seemed to get injured and frustrated with Zorn and didn't go out the best way possible. He worked his ass off in 2005 and 2007.2005 Playoff Run: W @ St.Louis- 27 carries, 136 yards, 2 TDs W @ Arizona- 26 carries, 105 yards, 1 TD W vs. Dallas- 23 carries, 112 yards W vs. New York- 27 carries, 108 yards, 1 TD W @ Philadelphia- 27 carries, 112 yards, 2 TDs 2007: W vs. Chicago- 17 carries, 36 yards, 6 rec, 86 yards W @ New York- 25 carries, 130 yards W @ Minnesota- 20 carries, 76 yards, 1 TD, 5 rec. 48 yards W vs. Dallas- 25 carries, 104 yards, 2 TDs 4 rec 27 yards The guy put the city on his back. 1 passing TD vs. Minny in 2007, too
SkinsCrushCowboys
I remember his first run from scrimmage as a Skin...touchdown. We ran his ass into the ground and he played on some crappy teams. He spoke his mind, which sometimes drove me nuts, but he was a baller. We have not had a back since that was even close to the blocker that he was. ComManDersFan57
Thanks Clinton! I'm glad he is retiring as a Redskin. That first run was awesome, I'll never forget it. Too bad he went downhill so fast because of injuries and Zorn. I also enjoyed his Thursday press conference characters and missed them when he stopped. Murphs56
Blocking is such an underrated aspect of playing Running Back. So many people don't understand its importance. Portis was one of the best blocking backs I've ever seen. his ability to pick up the Blitz was such a crucial aspect of his game
Cooleyfan1993
he'll probably be in the hall of fame representing the redskins when he is older
roanoker
CP was always one of my favorites. Congrats on retirement and best wishes. You leave a lot of fond memories.
Murphs56
@TheRealC_Portis It's a beginning and an end, this is just the new beginning to the rest of my life, the game was great to me! HTTR I'm forever a skin!!!! @bkucik Sad to see @TheRealC_Portis go out less than 100 yards away from 10,000 on his career. @TheRealC_Portis @bkucik if I couldn't get those 77 as a skin they were pointless to me!!! No_Pressure
1 passing TD vs. Minny in 2007, too And NY in 2005 to Cooley if I'm remembering correctly.
vaballa
My favorite moment was against the Eagles in 2005. The hop spin move at the line of scrimmage and the speed to beat the safety to the end zone was a thing of beauty. That set up the Sean Taylor snatch and score. Good times... Murphs56
I wonder if Gibbs will be there Thursday. Him and Portis were and still are very close from every interview I've Seen. It seemed like something was lost for CP once Gibbs left.

abdcskins
No negative memories of him. I don't ever recall him giving anything less than 100% even when he was banged up. Even if he wasn't the quickest RB he was fun to watch.
