roger waters
Yea, by far one of the least of our problems, but it wouldnt hurt my feelings if he is cut today. His decision making is questionable at best and he muffs at least one per game. Let's let someone with an NFL body like N. Paul give it a shot during this lost year. jivelikenice
I wouldn't cut him for the sake of cutting him, but if there was someone available who could help the team I would give up that roster spot. Same goes for Stallworth's spot too though!
HailGreen28
Can someone tell me why I saw Danny Smith talking to John Beck right after he threw his first interception? Is he so bad we're just considering him our "short punter' now? ~Bang I saw that too, and wondered. Is Smith "helping" us on offense too?
Prototype
If we get Eddie Royal in FA next year, consider him GONE. Royal can return kicks, punts, and is already an established #2 receiver. I seriously think Shanahan is gonna go after him in FA, since he drafted him in Denver. And Eddie would LOVE to be back home in D.C. gortiz
anybody else feel that b. banks is one more "bad" game from being cut? i mean, if has one more fumble, or muffs two more kicks in a game ... i think its curtains.
JoeSkins
As a fan I don't like calling for a player's head. It is their livelihood, after all. That said, Banks has always been a little overrated and the roster is loaded with guys who could probably perform similarly. (Maybe a dumb idea, but AA, obviously not immediately but in the future?) Yeah, most likely. There's something missing from him lately. The blocking has been a little better in the last couple games IMO, but he still isn't doing much. The muffs are inexcusable. TD_washingtonredskins
Yea we should totally get rid of this guy Well, I'm happy with his two nice punt returns, but he will need to show up more than a couple times per year for me to believe he deserves a roster spot simply to return kicks. Who are we picking up when we cut him??? It's not like the WR's on the depth chart ahead of him are so amazing and he is keeping some pro bowler off the team. He makes more plays with the ball than any other WR's after the catch. We need someone like him.
TD Riggo
After today, I think we can just go ahead and close this ridiculous thread. BB has given us multiple opportunities with excellent field position today.

I just don't believe that a return specialist who doesn't change field position very often should be given a roster spot with no questions asked. If he gains more consistency, he's the type of player that might be worthwhile. Not yet in my opinion. ---------- Post added November-20th-2011 at 03:50 PM ---------- After today, I think we can just go ahead and close this ridiculous thread.BB has given us multiple opportunities with excellent field position today. Not yet in my opinion. That's fine I'm really not either. I don't think he's given a spot without questions though. I think the questions they asked are along the lines of the ones I asked. If we could bring in a playmaker WR and needed that spot instead of a return guy, I'd be all for cutting him. In reality right now though, that is not the situation. greenspandan
Right...he finally positively impacted one of our games in week 11. Check mate. haha you are so committed to this terrible, absurd opinion that you've set it up so that even if he single handedly beats the cowboys, we should still cut him monday morning. No...I don't think there is any point in cutting him this season, I just don't believe he has nearly the impact hat many do here. That's all. DJD2
Nice to see him finally contribute. Game probably doesn't go into OT without him. I still think he is a wasted roster spot though.

SkinsCrushCowboys
He had a very good game today,,,first one in 11.. I still stick with my OP that he is a waste of a roster spot.
NIGHTHAWK1024
Sometimes he makes bad decisions taking the ball out. He only got to the 18 yard line in OT, if it was a touchback then the field goal would have been a 45 yard attempt. Of course this is considering everything panned out the same. Rabsuz
Cut Banks and then sign who? Another Donte or Anderson? Another no name WR to sit on the bench and be forgettable? If we find a WR we like in the draft or FA, then you can cut banks for that guy, I'd rather cut Donte, Anderson, Robinson (where is he anyways), than Banks, since Banks has a use unlike these depth players. HailGreen28
Wish we could see Banks at WR. I know it'd be like seeing a real smurf out there, but if he can run fast.....
Luvskins59
I like Banks. I was at the game today and admit I got a little excited every time he touched the ball. I think he has talent, but doesn't have much blocking right now.
Stugein
I've been down on Banks for awhile now. I'm tired of seeing him bring the ball out from 6 yards deep in the endzone just to get tackled at the 15 every item. It's bad enough that our offense usually can't get out of it's own way so the opposing team is always playing on a half a field without u starting every drive behind the 20. That said, I was pleasantly surprised with his output this week. Not just his big returns, but just his solid KRs to the 25-30. He showed vision. I'll lay off the guy for a bit.
